既有人的样子，就自己卑微，存心顺服，以至于死，且死在十字架上。

既有人之式、又屈己、承順至死、甚而死於十架、

既為人、猶屈己順命致死、甚而死於十字架、

自卑而順服至死、甚而死於十字架、

其為人也、復謙之又謙、損之又損、惟天主之命是從；鞠躬盡瘁、死而後已、終至致命於十字架上。

And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to death— even death on a cross!

He appeared as a man. He was humble and obeyed God completely. He did this even though it led to his death. Even worse, he died on a cross!

And being found in human form, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross.

So also Christ did not glorify himself in becoming high priest, but the one who glorified him was God, who said to him,“ You are my Son! Today I have fathered you,”as also in another place God says,“ You are a priest forever in the order of Melchizedek.”During his earthly life Christ offered both requests and supplications, with loud cries and tears, to the one who was able to save him from death and he was heard because of his devotion.Although he was a son, he learned obedience through the things he suffered.And by being perfected in this way, he became the source of eternal salvation to all who obey him,

Receiving sacrifices and offerings are not your primary concern. You make that quite clear to me! You do not ask for burnt sacrifices and sin offerings.Then I say,“ Look! I come! What is written in the scroll pertains to me.I want to do what pleases you, my God. Your law dominates my thoughts.”

If you obey my commandments, you will remain in my love, just as I have obeyed my Father’s commandments and remain in his love.

He went away a second time and prayed,“ My Father, if this cup cannot be taken away unless I drink it, your will must be done.”

Yes, wild dogs surround me– a gang of evil men crowd around me; like a lion they pin my hands and feet.

As he was praying, the appearance of his face was transformed, and his clothes became very bright, a brilliant white.

Six days later Jesus took with him Peter, James, and John and led them alone up a high mountain privately. And he was transfigured before them,and his clothes became radiantly white, more so than any launderer in the world could bleach them.

Jesus said to them,“ My food is to do the will of the one who sent me and to complete his work.

And he was transfigured before them. His face shone like the sun, and his clothes became white as light.
