有一事我曾求主、今仍祈求、即使我一生居於主殿、瞻仰主之榮美、在主殿朝覲主、

且我視萬事為有損、因皆不如得識我主耶穌基督、我為彼遺棄諸事、視為糞土、惟欲得基督、顯我屬彼、

是以我儕姑舍基督道之開端、而進於完備、不復立基、若悔改妄行、信從天主、

我言此、非因缺乏之故也、蓋我已學、無論何遇、莫不知足、我知何以處貧賤、何以處富厚、隨事隨在、或飽或饑、或豐或歉、我皆諳練矣、我賴使我有力者、凡事能為、

我所愛者乎、爾常順服、不第我與爾同在之時、今我與爾不同在、更當畏懼戰慄、成爾求救之工、

然此亦何妨、其意或偽或誠、無論如何、基督究以是而傳矣、我為之而樂、亦必終樂、我知此事因爾之祈禱、又賴耶穌基督之神祐我、終必使我得救、我盼望希冀、凡事無愧、惟毅然如常、無論生死、必以我身丕顯基督、我生乃為基督、死則獲益、

但所需者惟一、瑪利亞已擇不可奪之善業業原文作分矣、

故此後我不以外貌認人、雖曾以外貌認基督、今後不復如此認之、

可愛者乎、爾不可不知、主觀一日如千年、千年如一日、

女子乎、爾須聽須視、須側耳而聽、莫追念爾故國人民及爾父家、
