But everything that was a gain to me, I have considered to be a loss because of Christ.

But whatever were gains to me I now consider loss for the sake of Christ.

I thought things like that were really something great. But now I consider them to be nothing because of Christ.

But whatever gain I had, I counted as loss for the sake of Christ.

I once thought these things were valuable, but now I consider them worthless because of what Christ has done.

But whatever things were gain to me, these things I have counted as loss because of Christ.

But what things were gain to me, these I have counted loss for Christ.

Howbeit what things were gain to me, these have I counted loss for Christ.

But everything that was a gain to me, I have considered to be a loss because of Christ.

But what things were gain to me, those I counted loss for Christ.

But these assets I have come to regard as liabilities because of Christ.

However, I consider those things that were gain to me as a loss for Christ.

In the same way, therefore, every one of you who does not renounce all his possessions cannot be my disciple.

“ If anyone comes to me and does not hate his own father and mother, wife and children, brothers and sisters— yes, and even his own life— he cannot be my disciple.

For what will it benefit someone if he gains the whole world yet loses his life? Or what will anyone give in exchange for his life?

Riches are a ransom for a person’s life, but a poor person hears no threat.

“ The kingdom of heaven is like treasure, buried in a field, that a man found and reburied. Then in his joy he goes and sells everything he has and buys that field.“ Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a merchant in search of fine pearls.When he found one priceless pearl, he went and sold everything he had and bought it.

We are Jews by birth and not“ Gentile sinners,”and yet because we know that a person is not justified by the works of the law but by faith in Jesus Christ, even we ourselves have believed in Christ Jesus. This was so that we might be justified by faith in Christ and not by the works of the law, because by the works of the law no human being will be justified.

On that day, a man on the housetop, whose belongings are in the house, must not come down to get them. Likewise the man who is in the field must not turn back.Remember Lot’s wife!Whoever tries to make his life secure will lose it, and whoever loses his life will preserve it.

As soon as the angels got them outside, one of them said,“ Run for your lives! Don’t look back and don’t stop anywhere on the plain! Run to the mountains, or you will be swept away!”

But Lot’s wife looked back and became a pillar of salt.

Take note! I, Paul, am telling you that if you get yourselves circumcised, Christ will not benefit you at all.Again I testify to every man who gets himself circumcised that he is obligated to do the entire law.You who are trying to be justified by the law are alienated from Christ; you have fallen from grace.For we eagerly await through the Spirit, by faith, the hope of righteousness.

Because we were being severely battered by the storm, they began to jettison the cargo the next day.On the third day, they threw the ship’s tackle overboard with their own hands.

When they had eaten enough, they began to lighten the ship by throwing the grain overboard into the sea.

although I have reasons for confidence in the flesh. If anyone else thinks he has grounds for confidence in the flesh, I have more:circumcised the eighth day; of the nation of Israel, of the tribe of Benjamin, a Hebrew born of Hebrews; regarding the law, a Pharisee;regarding zeal, persecuting the church; regarding the righteousness that is in the law, blameless.

More than that, I also consider everything to be a loss in view of the surpassing value of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord. Because of him I have suffered the loss of all things and consider them as dung, so that I may gain Christand be found in him, not having a righteousness of my own from the law, but one that is through faith in Christ— the righteousness from God based on faith.My goal is to know him and the power of his resurrection and the fellowship of his sufferings, being conformed to his death,
