惊恐临到你们，好像狂风；灾难来到，如同暴风；急难痛苦临到你们身上。

那时，恐惧如风暴袭击你们，灾难如旋风临到你们，忧愁和苦难吞没你们。

惊恐临到你们好像风暴，灾难如同飓风来临，患难困苦临到你们身上。

那时，恐惧像风暴那样临到，灾难像旋风那样来临，患难和困苦临到你们身上。

驚恐臨到你們，好像狂風；災難來到，如同暴風；急難痛苦臨到你們身上。

那時，恐懼如風暴襲擊你們，災難如旋風臨到你們，憂愁和苦難吞沒你們。

恐懼臨到你們、好像狂風，災難來到、如同風暴；艱難困苦臨到你們身上：

那時，恐懼像風暴那樣臨到，災難像旋風那樣來臨，患難和困苦臨到你們身上。

爾之恐惶、如狂風之來、爾之患難、如颶風之至、罹憂傷、遇窘苦、

爾所懼之災害、迫切之患難、突如其來、如颶風之倏至。

可懼之事、臨若狂風、災害至如暴風、爾遭患難、受窘迫、

耶和華不輕易發怒，大有能力，但耶和華萬不以有罪的為無罪。他的道路在旋風和暴風之中，雲彩為他腳下的塵土。

他要把患難、困苦加給一切作惡的人，先是猶太人，後是希臘人；

忽然來的驚恐，你不要害怕；惡人遭毀滅，也不要恐懼，因為耶和華是你的倚靠，他必保護你的腳不陷入羅網。

你們用荊棘燒火，鍋還未熱，神就用旋風把未燒着的和已燒着的一齊颳去。

願他們的筵席在他們面前變為羅網，在他們平安的時候變為圈套。願他們的眼睛昏花，看不見；求你使他們的腰常常戰抖。求你將你的惱恨倒在他們身上，使你的烈怒追上他們。願他們的住處變為廢墟，他們的帳棚無人居住。因為你所擊打的，他們就迫害；你所擊傷的，他們述說他的愁苦。求你使他們罪上加罪，不容他們在你面前稱義。願他們從生命冊上被塗去，不得名列在義人之中。

地上的君王、臣宰、將軍、富戶、壯士，和一切為奴的、自主的，都藏在山洞和巖石穴裏，向山和巖石說：「倒在我們身上吧！把我們藏起來，躲避坐寶座者的臉面和羔羊的憤怒；因為他們遭憤怒的大日子到了，誰能站得住呢？」

列邦喧鬧，如同大水滔滔；但神一斥責，他們就遠遠躲避，他們被追趕，如同山上風前的糠粃，又如暴風前的碎稭；

人正說平安穩定的時候，災禍忽然臨到他們，如同陣痛臨到懷胎的婦人一樣，他們絕逃脫不了。

惡人所怕的，必臨到他；義人的心願，必蒙應允。暴風一過，惡人歸於無有；義人卻有永久的根基。

在那些日子，懷孕的和奶孩子的就苦了。因為將有大災難降在這地方，也有憤怒臨到這百姓。他們要倒在刀下，又被擄到各國去。耶路撒冷要被外邦人踐踏，直到外邦人的日子滿了。」「日月星辰要顯出預兆，地上的邦國也有困苦，因海中波浪的響聲而惶惶不安。人想到那要臨到世界的事，就都嚇得魂不附體，因為天上的萬象都要震動。

「你們要謹慎，免得被貪食、醉酒和今生的憂慮壓住你們的心，那日子就忽然臨到你們，如同羅網一樣，因為那日子要臨到所有居住在地面上的人。
