Anyone who is patient has great understanding. But anyone who gets angry quickly shows how foolish they are.

Whoever is slow to anger has great understanding, but he who has a hasty temper exalts folly.

People with understanding control their anger; a hot temper shows great foolishness.

Better a patient person than a warrior, one with self- control than one who takes a city.

A person’s wisdom yields patience; it is to one’s glory to overlook an offense.

A hot- tempered person stirs up conflict, but the one who is patient calms a quarrel.

Like a city whose walls are broken through is a person who lacks self-control.

Do not make friends with a hot-tempered person, do not associate with one easily angered,or you may learn their ways and get yourself ensnared.

Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.It does not dishonor others, it is not self- seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.

Cherish her, and she will exalt you; embrace her, and she will honor you.

do not bring hastily to court, for what will you do in the end if your neighbor puts you to shame?

Fools are put in many high positions, while the rich occupy the low ones.

But the wisdom that comes from heaven is first of all pure; then peace-loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere.Peacemakers who sow in peace reap a harvest of righteousness.

When Herod realized that he had been outwitted by the Magi, he was furious, and he gave orders to kill all the boys in Bethlehem and its vicinity who were two years old and under, in accordance with the time he had learned from the Magi.

Then Nebuchadnezzar was furious with Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego, and his attitude toward them changed. He ordered the furnace heated seven times hotter than usualand commanded some of the strongest soldiers in his army to tie up Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego and throw them into the blazing furnace.So these men, wearing their robes, trousers, turbans and other clothes, were bound and thrown into the blazing furnace.The king’s command was so urgent and the furnace so hot that the flames of the fire killed the soldiers who took up Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego,and these three men, firmly tied, fell into the blazing furnace.Then King Nebuchadnezzar leaped to his feet in amazement and asked his advisers,“ Weren’t there three men that we tied up and threw into the fire?” They replied,“ Certainly, Your Majesty.”He said,“ Look! I see four men walking around in the fire, unbound and unharmed, and the fourth looks like a son of the gods.”
