so is a person who deceives his neighbor, and says,“ Was I not only joking?”

人欺鄰里、自謂戲玩者、亦如之、

is one who deceives their neighbor and says,“ I was only joking!”

Someone who lies to their neighbor and says,“ I was only joking!” is just like that crazy person.

is the man who deceives his neighbor and says,“ I am only joking!”

is someone who lies to a friend and then says,“ I was only joking.”

so is the person who deceives his neighbor and says,“ I was only joking!”

So is a person who deceives his neighbor, And says,“ Was I not joking?”

Is the man who deceives his neighbor, And says,“ I was only joking!”

So is the man that deceiveth his neighbor, And saith, Am not I in sport?

so is the man who deceives his neighbor and says,“ I was only joking!”

So[ is] the man[ that] deceiveth his neighbour, and saith, Am not I in sport?

is the man who deceives his neighbor and says,“ Am I not joking?”

Neither should there be vulgar speech, foolish talk, or coarse jesting– all of which are out of character– but rather thanksgiving.

Carrying out a wicked scheme is enjoyable to a fool, and so is wisdom for the one who has discernment.

Fools mock at reparation, but among the upright there is favor.

suffering harm as the wages for their harmful ways. By considering it a pleasure to carouse in broad daylight, they are stains and blemishes, indulging in their deceitful pleasures when they feast together with you.

Folly is a joy to one who lacks sense, but one who has understanding follows an upright course.
