Death and Destruction are never satisfied, and neither are human eyes.

Death and the Grave are never satisfied. People’s eyes are never satisfied either.

Sheol and Abaddon are never satisfied, and never satisfied are the eyes of man.

Just as Death and Destruction are never satisfied, so human desire is never satisfied.

Hell and Destruction are never full; So the eyes of man are never satisfied.

All things are wearisome; No one can tell it. The eye is not satisfied with seeing, Nor is the ear filled with hearing.

Furthermore, wine betrays an arrogant man, So that he does not achieve his objective. He enlarges his appetite like Sheol, And he is like death, never satisfied. He also gathers to himself all the nations And collects to himself all the peoples.

The leech has two daughters:“ Give” and“ Give.” There are three things that will not be satisfied, Four that will not say,“ Enough”:Sheol, the infertile womb, Earth that is never satisfied with water, And fire that never says,“ Enough.”

All a person’s labor is for his mouth, and yet his appetite is not satisfied.

Sheol and Abaddon lie open before the Lord, How much more the hearts of mankind!

All that my eyes desired, I did not refuse them. I did not restrain my heart from any pleasure, for my heart was pleased because of all my labor; and this was my reward for all my labor.So I considered all my activities which my hands had done and the labor which I had exerted, and behold, all was futility and striving after wind, and there was no benefit under the sun.

When you set your eyes on it, it is gone. For wealth certainly makes itself wings Like an eagle that flies toward the heavens.

Sheol is naked before Him, And Abaddon has no covering.

“ But your eyes and your heart Are intent only upon your own dishonest gain, And on shedding innocent blood, And on practicing oppression and extortion.”

There was a man without a dependent, having neither a son nor a brother, yet there was no end to all his labor. Indeed, his eyes were not satisfied with riches, and he never asked,“ And for whom do I labor and deprive myself of pleasure?” This too is futility, and it is an unhappy task.

One who loves money will not be satisfied with money, nor one who loves abundance with its income. This too is futility.When good things increase, those who consume them increase. So what is the advantage to their owners except to look at them?
