Oh, the joys of those who are kind to the poor! The Lord rescues them when they are in trouble.The Lord protects them and keeps them alive. He gives them prosperity in the land and rescues them from their enemies.The Lord nurses them when they are sick and restores them to health.

Blessed are those who are generous, because they feed the poor.

Give generously to the poor, not grudgingly, for the Lord your God will bless you in everything you do.

Remember this— a farmer who plants only a few seeds will get a small crop. But the one who plants generously will get a generous crop.You must each decide in your heart how much to give. And don’t give reluctantly or in response to pressure.“ For God loves a person who gives cheerfully.”And God will generously provide all you need. Then you will always have everything you need and plenty left over to share with others.As the Scriptures say,“ They share freely and give generously to the poor. Their good deeds will be remembered forever.”For God is the one who provides seed for the farmer and then bread to eat. In the same way, he will provide and increase your resources and then produce a great harvest of generosity in you.Yes, you will be enriched in every way so that you can always be generous. And when we take your gifts to those who need them, they will thank God.

And don’t forget to do good and to share with those in need. These are the sacrifices that please God.

Good comes to those who lend money generously and conduct their business fairly.Such people will not be overcome by evil. Those who are righteous will be long remembered.They do not fear bad news; they confidently trust the Lord to care for them.They are confident and fearless and can face their foes triumphantly.They share freely and give generously to those in need. Their good deeds will be remembered forever. They will have influence and honor.

Give freely and become more wealthy; be stingy and lose everything.

When you lift up your hands in prayer, I will not look. Though you offer many prayers, I will not listen, for your hands are covered with the blood of innocent victims.

A judge who says to the wicked,“ You are innocent,” will be cursed by many people and denounced by the nations.
