因为得智慧胜过得银子，其利益强如精金，

因为智慧的获利胜过银子，所得的盈余强如金子，

因为智慧比银子更有价值，比金子更有益处，

因为智慧的利润胜过银子的利润，智慧的收益胜过黄金的收益。

因为智慧的盈利好过银子，她的收成胜过金子；

因為得智慧勝過得銀子，其利益強如精金，

因為智慧的獲利勝過銀子，所得的盈餘強如金子，

因為智慧的獲利勝過銀子，所得的盈餘強如金子，

因為智慧比銀子更有價值，比金子更有益處，

因為智慧的利潤勝過銀子的利潤，智慧的收益勝過黃金的收益。

因為從智慧所得的益處勝過從銀子所得的益處；智慧所生的利強於黃金；

因為智慧的盈利好過銀子，她的收成勝過金子；

得之愈於得銀、其利愈於精金、

市之愈白金、得之愈黃金、

積智慧勝於積銀、智慧利大、勝於精金、

for she is more profitable than silver and yields better returns than gold.

Wisdom pays better than silver does. She earns more than gold does.

for the gain from her is better than gain from silver and her profit better than gold.

For wisdom is more profitable than silver, and her wages are better than gold.

for she is more profitable than silver, and her revenue is better than gold.

For her profit is better than the profit of silver, And her produce better than gold.

For her proceeds are better than the profits of silver, And her gain than fine gold.

For the gaining of it is better than the gaining of silver, And the profit thereof than fine gold.

for she is more profitable than silver, and her revenue is better than gold.

For the merchandise of it[ is] better than the merchandise of silver, and the gain thereof than fine gold.

For her benefit is more profitable than silver, and her gain is better than gold.

For her good profit is better than getting silver, and her return is better than fine gold.

How much better to get wisdom than gold, to get insight rather than silver! (niv)

My fruit is better than fine gold; what I yield surpasses choice silver. (niv)

What good will it be for someone to gain the whole world, yet forfeit their soul? Or what can anyone give in exchange for their soul? (niv)

Your statutes are my heritage forever; they are the joy of my heart. (niv)

No mortal comprehends its worth; it cannot be found in the land of the living.The deep says,“ It is not in me”; the sea says,“ It is not with me.”It cannot be bought with the finest gold, nor can its price be weighed out in silver.It cannot be bought with the gold of Ophir, with precious onyx or lapis lazuli.Neither gold nor crystal can compare with it, nor can it be had for jewels of gold.Coral and jasper are not worthy of mention; the price of wisdom is beyond rubies.The topaz of Cush cannot compare with it; it cannot be bought with pure gold. Choose my instruction instead of silver, knowledge rather than choice gold,for wisdom is more precious than rubies, and nothing you desire can compare with her. (niv)

The law from your mouth is more precious to me than thousands of pieces of silver and gold. (niv)

and if you look for it as for silver and search for it as for hidden treasure, (niv)

I rejoice in your promise like one who finds great spoil. (niv)

God said to Solomon,“ Since this is your heart’s desire and you have not asked for wealth, possessions or honor, nor for the death of your enemies, and since you have not asked for a long life but for wisdom and knowledge to govern my people over whom I have made you king,therefore wisdom and knowledge will be given you. And I will also give you wealth, possessions and honor, such as no king who was before you ever had and none after you will have.” (niv)

What is more, I consider everything a loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I have lost all things. I consider them garbage, that I may gain Christand be found in him, not having a righteousness of my own that comes from the law, but that which is through faith in Christ— the righteousness that comes from God on the basis of faith. I counsel you to buy from me gold refined in the fire, so you can become rich; and white clothes to wear, so you can cover your shameful nakedness; and salve to put on your eyes, so you can see. (niv)
