Surely I am more brutish than any other human being, and I do not have human understanding;

Surely I am only a brute, not a man; I do not have human understanding.

Surely I am only a dumb animal and not a man. I don’t understand as other men do.

Surely I am too stupid to be a man. I have not the understanding of a man.

I am too stupid to be human, and I lack common sense.

I am more stupid than any other person, and I lack a human’s ability to understand.

I am certainly more stupid than any man, And I do not have the understanding of a man;

Surely I am more stupid than any man, And do not have the understanding of a man.

Surely I am more brutish than any man, And have not the understanding of a man;

“ Surely I am the most ignorant man, and don’t have a man’s understanding.

I was ignorant and lacked insight; I was as senseless as an animal before you.

you asked,‘ Who is this who darkens counsel without knowledge?’ But I have declared without understanding things too wonderful for me to know.You said,‘ Pay attention, and I will speak; I will question you, and you will answer me.’I had heard of you by the hearing of the ear, but now my eye has seen you.Therefore I despise myself, and I repent in dust and ashes!

Guard against self- deception, each of you. If someone among you thinks he is wise in this age, let him become foolish so that he can become wise.

All these idolaters will prove to be stupid and ignorant. Every goldsmith will be disgraced by the idol he made. For the image he forges is merely a sham. There is no breath in any of those idols.

And you will say,“ How I hated discipline! My heart spurned reproof!

Surely one sees that even wise people die; fools and spiritually insensitive people all pass away and leave their wealth to others.

For I do not want you to be ignorant of this mystery, brothers and sisters, so that you may not be conceited: A partial hardening has happened to Israel until the full number of the Gentiles has come in.

I said,“ Too bad for me! I am destroyed, for my lips are contaminated by sin, and I live among people whose lips are contaminated by sin. My eyes have seen the king, the LORD who commands armies.”

If someone thinks he knows something, he does not yet know to the degree that he needs to know.

But if anyone is deficient in wisdom, he should ask God, who gives to all generously and without reprimand, and it will be given to him.

The spiritually insensitive do not recognize this; the fool does not understand this.

But these men, like irrational animals– creatures of instinct, born to be caught and destroyed– do not understand whom they are insulting, and consequently in their destruction they will be destroyed,suffering harm as the wages for their harmful ways. By considering it a pleasure to carouse in broad daylight, they are stains and blemishes, indulging in their deceitful pleasures when they feast together with you.Their eyes, full of adultery, never stop sinning; they entice unstable people. They have trained their hearts for greed, these cursed children!By forsaking the right path they have gone astray, because they followed the way of Balaam son of Bosor, who loved the wages of unrighteousness,yet was rebuked for his own transgression( a dumb donkey, speaking with a human voice, restrained the prophet’s madness).
