lest you lose your honor to others and your dignity to one who is cruel,

If you do, you will lose your honor to other people. You will give your self- respect to someone who is mean.

lest you give your honor to others and your years to the merciless,

If you do, you will lose your honor and will lose to merciless people all you have achieved.

Otherwise, you will give up your vitality to others and your years to someone cruel;

Otherwise you will give your vigor to others, And your years to the cruel one;

Lest you give your honor to others, And your years to the cruel one;

Lest thou give thine honor unto others, And thy years unto the cruel;

Otherwise, you will give up your vitality to others and your years to someone cruel;

Lest thou give thine honour unto others, and thy years unto the cruel:

lest you give your vigor to others and your years to a cruel person,

lest you give your honor to others, and your years to the cruel one;

After putting him to sleep on her lap, she called for someone to shave off the seven braids of his hair, and so began to subdue him. And his strength left him.Then she called,“ Samson, the Philistines are upon you!” He awoke from his sleep and thought,“ I’ll go out as before and shake myself free.” But he did not know that the Lord had left him.Then the Philistines seized him, gouged out his eyes and took him down to Gaza. Was it not because of marriages like these that Solomon king of Israel sinned? Among the many nations there was no king like him. He was loved by his God, and God made him king over all Israel, but even he was led into sin by foreign women. (niv)

They sacrifice on the mountaintops and burn offerings on the hills, under oak, poplar and terebinth, where the shade is pleasant. Therefore your daughters turn to prostitution and your daughters-in-law to adultery.“ I will not punish your daughters when they turn to prostitution, nor your daughters- in- law when they commit adultery, because the men themselves consort with harlots and sacrifice with shrine prostitutes— a people without understanding will come to ruin! So is he who sleeps with another man’s wife; no one who touches her will go unpunished.People do not despise a thief if he steals to satisfy his hunger when he is starving.Yet if he is caught, he must pay sevenfold, though it costs him all the wealth of his house.But a man who commits adultery has no sense; whoever does so destroys himself.Blows and disgrace are his lot, and his shame will never be wiped away.For jealousy arouses a husband’s fury, and he will show no mercy when he takes revenge.He will not accept any compensation; he will refuse a bribe, however great it is.
