因为，被她伤害仆倒的不少；被她杀戮的而且甚多。

要知道，被她刺透而倒下的人有许多，连无数强者都被她杀死；

蓋彼所傷而仆者孔多、所殺者甚眾、

維彼淫婦、傷人孔多、殺人亦不少。

蓋被其傷仆者不少、被其殺害者甚眾、

Many are the victims she has brought down; her slain are a mighty throng.

She has brought down a lot of men. She has killed a huge crowd.

for many a victim has she laid low, and all her slain are a mighty throng.

For she has been the ruin of many; many men have been her victims.

For she has brought many down to death; her victims are countless.

For many are the victims she has brought to ruin, And numerous are all those slaughtered by her.

For she has cast down many wounded, And all who were slain by her were strong men.

For she hath cast down many wounded: Yea, all her slain are a mighty host.

Was it not because of marriages like these that Solomon king of Israel sinned? Among the many nations there was no king like him. He was loved by his God, and God made him king over all Israel, but even he was led into sin by foreign women. (niv)

I am afraid that when I come again my God will humble me before you, and I will be grieved over many who have sinned earlier and have not repented of the impurity, sexual sin and debauchery in which they have indulged. (niv)

And Ish-Bosheth said to Abner,“ Why did you sleep with my father’s concubine?”Abner was very angry because of what Ish- Bosheth said. So he answered,“ Am I a dog’s head— on Judah’s side? This very day I am loyal to the house of your father Saul and to his family and friends. I haven’t handed you over to David. Yet now you accuse me of an offense involving this woman! (niv)
