Yahweh, you have heard the desire of the humble. You will prepare their heart. You will cause your ear to hear,

耶和华啊，谦卑人的心愿，你早已知道。你必预备他们的心，也必侧耳听他们的祈求，

耶和华啊，困苦人的心愿你早已听见；你必坚固他们的心，也必侧耳听他们的祈求，

耶和华啊，困苦人的心愿你早已听见；你必坚固他们的心，也必侧耳听他们的祈求，

耶和华啊，你知道困苦人的愿望，你必垂听他们的呼求，安慰他们。

耶和华啊！困苦人的心愿你已经听见，你必坚固他们的心，也必留心听他们的呼求；

耶和华啊，你垂听了卑微人的愿望！你使他们的心坚定；你侧耳倾听，

耶和華啊，謙卑人的心願，你早已知道。你必預備他們的心，也必側耳聽他們的祈求，

耶和華啊，困苦人的心願你早已聽見；你必堅固他們的心，也必側耳聽他們的祈求，

耶和華啊，困苦人的心願你早已聽見；你必堅固他們的心，也必側耳聽他們的祈求，

耶和華啊，你知道困苦人的願望，你必垂聽他們的呼求，安慰他們。

耶和華啊！困苦人的心願你已經聽見，你必堅固他們的心，也必留心聽他們的呼求；

永恆主啊，困苦人的心願你早已聽見；他們心中的悲歎你必側耳以聽，

耶和華啊，你垂聽了卑微人的願望！你使他們的心堅定；你側耳傾聽，

耶和華歟、謙卑者之祈、爾已聞之、必堅厥志、傾耳聽之、

貧者上祈、耶和華傾耳垂聽、而堅其志兮、

主歟、窮苦人所求者、主常垂聽、堅固其心、側耳聽其祈禱、

主已垂聽兮。謙者之音。必賜慰藉兮。堅固其心。

You, Lord, hear the desire of the afflicted; you encourage them, and you listen to their cry,

Lord, you hear the desires of those who are hurting. You cheer them up and give them hope. You listen to their cries.

O Lord, you hear the desire of the afflicted; you will strengthen their heart; you will incline your ear

Lord, you know the hopes of the helpless. Surely you will hear their cries and comfort them.

LORD, you have heard the desire of the humble; you will strengthen their hearts. You will listen carefully,

Lord, You have heard the desire of the humble; You will strengthen their heart, You will make Your ear attentive

Lord, You have heard the desire of the humble; You will prepare their heart; You will cause Your ear to hear,

Jehovah, thou hast heard the desire of the meek: Thou wilt prepare their heart, thou wilt cause thine ear to hear;

Lord, You have heard the desire of the humble; You will strengthen their hearts. You will listen carefully,

LORD, thou hast heard the desire of the humble: thou wilt prepare their heart, thou wilt cause thine ear to hear:

LORD, you have heard the request of the oppressed; you make them feel secure because you listen to their prayer.

Yahweh, the God of Abraham, of Isaac, and of Israel, our fathers, keep this desire forever in the thoughts of the heart of your people, and prepare their heart for you;

He will fulfill the desire of those who fear him. He also will hear their cry, and will save them.

It will happen that before they call, I will answer; and while they are yet speaking, I will hear.

But the tax collector, standing far away, wouldn’t even lift up his eyes to heaven, but beat his breast, saying,‘ God, be merciful to me, a sinner!’I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other; for everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, but he who humbles himself will be exalted.”

Don’t be deceived, my beloved brothers.Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom can be no variation, nor turning shadow.

Also delight yourself in Yahweh, and he will give you the desires of your heart.

For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, and his ears open to their prayer; but the face of the Lord is against those who do evil.”

For the needy shall not always be forgotten, nor the hope of the poor perish forever.

because your heart was tender, and you humbled yourself before God, when you heard his words against this place, and against its inhabitants, and have humbled yourself before me, and have torn your clothes, and wept before me, I also have heard you,” says Yahweh.

For he who avenges blood remembers them. He doesn’t forget the cry of the afflicted.

When he was in distress, he begged Yahweh his God, and humbled himself greatly before the God of his fathers.He prayed to him; and he was entreated by him, and heard his supplication, and brought him again to Jerusalem into his kingdom. Then Manasseh knew that Yahweh was God.

Yahweh’s eyes are toward the righteous. His ears listen to their cry.

Also the hand of God came on Judah to give them one heart, to do the commandment of the king and of the princes by Yahweh’s word.

He has responded to the prayer of the destitute, and has not despised their prayer.

Likewise, you younger ones, be subject to the elder. Yes, all of you clothe yourselves with humility, to subject yourselves to one another; for“ God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble.”

The plans of the heart belong to man, but the answer of the tongue is from Yahweh.

Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he will exalt you.

Peter therefore was kept in the prison, but constant prayer was made by the assembly to God for him.The same night when Herod was about to bring him out, Peter was sleeping between two soldiers, bound with two chains. Guards in front of the door kept the prison.And behold, an angel of the Lord stood by him, and a light shone in the cell. He struck Peter on the side, and woke him up, saying,“ Stand up quickly!” His chains fell off his hands.The angel said to him,“ Get dressed and put on your sandals.” He did so. He said to him,“ Put on your cloak and follow me.”And he went out and followed him. He didn’t know that what was being done by the angel was real, but thought he saw a vision.When they were past the first and the second guard, they came to the iron gate that leads into the city, which opened to them by itself. They went out, and went down one street, and immediately the angel departed from him.When Peter had come to himself, he said,“ Now I truly know that the Lord has sent out his angel and delivered me out of the hand of Herod, and from everything the Jewish people were expecting.”Thinking about that, he came to the house of Mary, the mother of John who was called Mark, where many were gathered together and were praying.When Peter knocked at the door of the gate, a servant girl named Rhoda came to answer.When she recognized Peter’s voice, she didn’t open the gate for joy, but ran in, and reported that Peter was standing in front of the gate.They said to her,“ You are crazy!” But she insisted that it was so. They said,“ It is his angel.”But Peter continued knocking. When they had opened, they saw him, and were amazed.But he, beckoning to them with his hand to be silent, declared to them how the Lord had brought him out of the prison. He said,“ Tell these things to James and to the brothers.” Then he departed and went to another place.Now as soon as it was day, there was no small stir among the soldiers about what had become of Peter.When Herod had sought for him, and didn’t find him, he examined the guards, then commanded that they should be put to death. He went down from Judea to Caesarea, and stayed there.

In him we have boldness and access in confidence through our faith in him.

He will not be afraid of evil news. His heart is steadfast, trusting in Yahweh.His heart is established. He will not be afraid in the end when he sees his adversaries.

What the wicked fear, will overtake them, but the desire of the righteous will be granted.

But he gives more grace. Therefore it says,“ God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble.”

“ Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the Kingdom of Heaven.

Hezekiah and all the people rejoiced, because of that which God had prepared for the people; for the thing was done suddenly.

For through him we both have our access in one Spirit to the Father.

When they heard it, they lifted up their voice to God with one accord, and said,“ O Lord, you are God, who made the heaven, the earth, the sea, and all that is in them;who by the mouth of your servant, David, said,‘ Why do the nations rage, and the peoples plot a vain thing?The kings of the earth take a stand, and the rulers take council together, against the Lord, and against his Christ.’“ For truly, both Herod and Pontius Pilate, with the Gentiles and the people of Israel, were gathered together against your holy servant, Jesus, whom you anointed,to do whatever your hand and your council foreordained to happen.Now, Lord, look at their threats, and grant to your servants to speak your word with all boldness,while you stretch out your hand to heal; and that signs and wonders may be done through the name of your holy Servant Jesus.”When they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were gathered together. They were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and they spoke the word of God with boldness.

In the same way, the Spirit also helps our weaknesses, for we don’t know how to pray as we ought. But the Spirit himself makes intercession for us with groanings which can’t be uttered.

The sacrifice made by the wicked is an abomination to Yahweh, but the prayer of the upright is his delight.
