祈爾賜佑。祈爾垂聽。引手拯拔。爾之所親。

God has spoken from his sanctuary:“ In triumph I will parcel out Shechem and measure off the Valley of Sukkoth.

God has spoken from his temple. He has said,“ I will win the battle. Then I will divide up the land around Shechem. I will divide up the Valley of Sukkoth.

God has promised in his holiness:“ With exultation I will divide up Shechem and portion out the Valley of Succoth.

Then Joshua assembled all the tribes of Israel at Shechem. He summoned the elders, leaders, judges and officials of Israel, and they presented themselves before God. (niv)

“ What more can David say to you? For you know your servant, Sovereign Lord.For the sake of your word and according to your will, you have done this great thing and made it known to your servant.“ How great you are, Sovereign Lord! There is no one like you, and there is no God but you, as we have heard with our own ears.And who is like your people Israel— the one nation on earth that God went out to redeem as a people for himself, and to make a name for himself, and to perform great and awesome wonders by driving out nations and their gods from before your people, whom you redeemed from Egypt?You have established your people Israel as your very own forever, and you, Lord, have become their God.“ And now, Lord God, keep forever the promise you have made concerning your servant and his house. Do as you promised,so that your name will be great forever. Then people will say,‘ The Lord Almighty is God over Israel!’ And the house of your servant David will be established in your sight.“ Lord Almighty, God of Israel, you have revealed this to your servant, saying,‘ I will build a house for you.’ So your servant has found courage to pray this prayer to you.Sovereign Lord, you are God! Your covenant is trustworthy, and you have promised these good things to your servant.Now be pleased to bless the house of your servant, that it may continue forever in your sight; for you, Sovereign Lord, have spoken, and with your blessing the house of your servant will be blessed forever.” (niv)

So they set apart Kedesh in Galilee in the hill country of Naphtali, Shechem in the hill country of Ephraim, and Kiriath Arba( that is, Hebron) in the hill country of Judah. (niv)

Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, (niv)

Once for all, I have sworn by my holiness— and I will not lie to David—that his line will continue forever and his throne endure before me like the sun; (niv)

His divine power has given us everything we need for a godly life through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness.Through these he has given us his very great and precious promises, so that through them you may participate in the divine nature, having escaped the corruption in the world caused by evil desires. (niv)

Though you have not seen him, you love him; and even though you do not see him now, you believe in him and are filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy, (niv)

He said to the men of Sukkoth,“ Give my troops some bread; they are worn out, and I am still pursuing Zebah and Zalmunna, the kings of Midian.”But the officials of Sukkoth said,“ Do you already have the hands of Zebah and Zalmunna in your possession? Why should we give bread to your troops?” (niv)

The territory of Manasseh extended from Asher to Mikmethath east of Shechem. The boundary ran southward from there to include the people living at En Tappuah. (niv)

Jacob, however, went to Sukkoth, where he built a place for himself and made shelters for his livestock. That is why the place is called Sukkoth. (niv)
