He wore cursing as his garment; it entered into his body like water, into his bones like oil.

They cursed others as easily as they put on clothes. Cursing was as natural to them as getting a drink of water or putting olive oil on their bodies.

When he has made her drink the water, then, if she has defiled herself and behaved unfaithfully toward her husband, the water that brings a curse will enter her to produce bitterness– her abdomen will swell, her thigh will fall away, and the woman will become a curse among her people.

But now, put off all such things as anger, rage, malice, slander, abusive language from your mouth.

In the same way, you who are younger, be subject to the elders. And all of you, clothe yourselves with humility toward one another, because God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.

For he knows no satisfaction in his appetite; he does not let anything he desires escape.“ Nothing is left for him to devour; that is why his prosperity does not last.In the fullness of his sufficiency, distress overtakes him. the full force of misery will come upon him.“ While he is filling his belly, God sends his burning anger against him, and rains down his blows upon him.
