任人咒詛、望主錫福、使彼愧恥、僕以欣喜兮、

任彼咒詛、有主賜福、任彼興起、必受羞辱、主之僕人必得喜歡、

任憑人謗詛。但求主輔翼。若輩終承羞。爾僕應怡悅。

While they curse, may you bless; may those who attack me be put to shame, but may your servant rejoice.

They may curse me. But may you bless me. May those who attack me be put to shame. But may I be filled with joy.

Let them curse, but you will bless! They arise and are put to shame, but your servant will be glad!

Then let them curse me if they like, but you will bless me! When they attack me, they will be disgraced! But I, your servant, will go right on rejoicing!

這樣，你們現在雖然也有憂慮，但是我會再見到你們，你們心裡將喜樂，並且沒有人能奪去你們的喜樂。

他喜愛詛咒人，詛咒就臨到他；他不喜歡祝福人，祝福就遠離他。

因此，主耶和華如此說：「看哪，我的僕人們必有吃的，你們卻會挨餓！看哪，我的僕人們必有喝的，你們卻會口渴！看哪，我的僕人們必歡喜，你們卻會蒙羞！看哪，我的僕人們因心中高興而歡呼，你們卻因心中傷痛而呼號、因靈裡破碎而哀號！你們必留下自己的名字，作我選民的詛咒詞。主耶和華必殺死你們；至於我的僕人們，我必用另外的名字稱呼他們。在地上為自己祝福的，必藉著真實的神為自己祝福；在地上起誓的，必指著真實的神起誓；因為先前的患難已被忘記，從我眼前被隱藏了。

王說：「洗魯雅的兒子們，我與你們有什麼關係呢？如果他這樣咒罵是因為耶和華吩咐他『你要詛咒大衛』，那麼誰能說『你為什麼這樣做呢？』」大衛對亞比篩和所有的臣僕說：「看哪，我親生的兒子尚且尋索我的性命，更何況這便雅憫的子孫呢！由他吧，讓他咒罵！因為是耶和華吩咐了他。或許耶和華看見我的苦難，就以恩惠回報我，替代今天這人的咒罵。」大衛和他的部下繼續趕路，示每也沿著大衛對面的山坡隨行，一邊走一邊咒罵，從對面向他扔石頭、揚塵土。

仰望信仰的創始者和成終者耶穌。他為了那擺在他前面的喜樂，就輕看羞辱，忍受了十字架，如今坐在神寶座的右邊。
