Solomon offered as peace offerings to the LORD 22,000 cattle and 120,000 sheep. He offered there burnt sacrifices, grain offerings, and the fat from the peace offerings, because the bronze altar that stood before the LORD was too small to hold all these offerings.

When all the people saw this, they threw themselves down with their faces to the ground and said,“ The LORD is the true God! The LORD is the true God!”

He will vindicate you in broad daylight, and publicly defend your just cause.

You are to make its four horns on its four corners; its horns will be part of it, and you are to overlay it with bronze.

“ Arise! Shine! For your light arrives! The splendor of the LORD shines on you!

I must endure the LORD’s anger, for I have sinned against him. But then he will defend my cause, and accomplish justice on my behalf. He will lead me out into the light; I will experience firsthand his deliverance.

Because you favor Zion, do what is good for her! Fortify the walls of Jerusalem!Then you will accept the proper sacrifices, burnt sacrifices and whole offerings; then bulls will be sacrificed on your altar.

Elijah approached all the people and said,“ How long are you going to be paralyzed by indecision? If the LORD is the true God, then follow him, but if Baal is, follow him!” But the people did not say a word.

The next day they made sacrifices and offered burnt sacrifices to the LORD( 1,000 bulls, 1,000 rams, 1,000 lambs), along with their accompanying drink offerings and many other sacrifices for all Israel.
