今日復求主。濟我於讒舌。

Save me, Lord, from lying lips and from deceitful tongues.

Lord, save me from people whose lips tell lies. Save me from people whose tongues don’t tell the truth.

I said,“ O LORD, rescue me from those who lie with their lips and those who deceive with their tongue.

Now the chief priests, and elders, and all the council, sought false witness against Jesus, to put him to death;But found none: yea, though many false witnesses came,[ yet] found they none. At the last came two false witnesses,And said, This[ fellow] said, I am able to destroy the temple of God, and to build it in three days.And the high priest arose, and said unto him, Answerest thou nothing? what[ is it which] these witness against thee?

False witnesses did rise up; they laid to my charge[ things] that I knew not.

Hold not thy peace, O God of my praise;For the mouth of the wicked and the mouth of the deceitful are opened against me: they have spoken against me with a lying tongue.

Lying lips[ are] abomination to the LORD: but they that deal truly[ are] his delight.

Thy tongue deviseth mischiefs; like a sharp razor, working deceitfully.Thou lovest evil more than good;[ and] lying rather than to speak righteousness. Selah.Thou lovest all devouring words, O[ thou] deceitful tongue.

Deliver me, O LORD, from the evil man: preserve me from the violent man;Which imagine mischiefs in[ their] heart; continually are they gathered together[ for] war.They have sharpened their tongues like a serpent; adders’ poison[ is] under their lips. Selah.
