攜種流涕而出者、必挾禾束、欣然而歸兮、

出而播種、雖有憂傷、及其歸也、同攜禾束、欣喜不勝兮。

攜穀種以播者、哭泣而往、迨負禾束而歸、必然歡欣、

去時皆嗚咽。含淚播種子。來時應怡怡。帶笑刈嘉穗。

Those who go out weeping, carrying seed to sow, will return with songs of joy, carrying sheaves with them.

Those who go out weeping as they carry seeds to plant will come back singing with joy. They will bring the new crop back with them.

He who goes out weeping, bearing the seed for sowing, shall come home with shouts of joy, bringing his sheaves with him.

They weep as they go to plant their seed, but they sing as they return with the harvest.

The people who walk in darkness Will see a great light; Those who live in a dark land, The light will shine on them.You will multiply the nation, You will increase their joy; They will rejoice in Your presence As with the joy of harvest, As people rejoice when they divide the spoils.

To grant those who mourn in Zion, Giving them a garland instead of ashes, The oil of gladness instead of mourning, The cloak of praise instead of a disheartened spirit. So they will be called oaks of righteousness, The planting of the Lord, that He may be glorified.

For His anger is but for a moment, His favor is for a lifetime; Weeping may last for the night, But a shout of joy comes in the morning.

“ In those days and at that time,” declares the Lord,“ the sons of Israel will come, they and the sons of Judah as well; they will go along weeping as they go, and it will be the Lord their God whom they will seek.They will ask for the way to Zion, turning their faces in its direction; they will come so that they may join themselves to the Lord in an everlasting covenant that will not be forgotten.

“ If you would direct your heart rightly And spread out your hands to Him,If wrongdoing is in your hand, put it far away, And do not let malice dwell in your tents;Then, indeed, you could lift up your face without moral blemish, And you would be firmly established and not fear.For you would forget your trouble; Like waters that have passed by, you would remember it.Your life would be brighter than noonday; Darkness would be like the morning.

For this reason they are before the throne of God, and they serve Him day and night in His temple; and He who sits on the throne will spread His tabernacle over them.They will no longer hunger nor thirst, nor will the sun beat down on them, nor any scorching heat;for the Lamb in the center of the throne will be their shepherd, and will guide them to springs of the water of life; and God will wipe every tear from their eyes.”

I will set out and go to my father, and will say to him,“ Father, I have sinned against heaven, and in your sight;I am no longer worthy to be called your son; treat me as one of your hired laborers.” ’So he set out and came to his father. But when he was still a long way off, his father saw him and felt compassion for him, and ran and embraced him and kissed him.And the son said to him,‘ Father, I have sinned against heaven and in your sight; I am no longer worthy to be called your son.’But the father said to his slaves,‘ Quickly bring out the best robe and put it on him, and put a ring on his finger and sandals on his feet;and bring the fattened calf, slaughter it, and let’s eat and celebrate;for this son of mine was dead and has come to life again; he was lost and has been found.’ And they began to celebrate.

And the jailer asked for lights and rushed in, and trembling with fear, he fell down before Paul and Silas;and after he brought them out, he said,“ Sirs, what must I do to be saved?”They said,“ Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved, you and your household.”And they spoke the word of God to him together with all who were in his house.And he took them that very hour of the night and washed their wounds, and immediately he was baptized, he and all his household.And he brought them into his house and set food before them, and was overjoyed, since he had become a believer in God together with his whole household.
