偏袒惡人的情面，是不好的。審判時使義人受屈，也是不善。

上帝啊，求你側耳聽我的禱告，不要隱藏不聽我的懇求！求你留心聽我，應允我。我哀嘆不安，發出呻吟，都因仇敵的聲音，惡人的欺壓；他們將罪孽加在我身上，發怒氣加害我。

惡人窺探義人，想要殺他。耶和華必不把他交在惡人手中，當審判的時候，也不定他的罪。你當等候耶和華，遵守他的道，他就抬舉你，使你承受土地；你必看到惡人被剪除。我見過惡人大有勢力，高聳如本地青翠的樹木。有人從那裏經過，看哪，他已不存在，我尋找他，卻尋不着了。你要細察那完全人，觀看那正直人，因為和平的人有好結局。至於罪人，必一同滅絕，惡人的結局必被剪除。義人得救是出於耶和華，在患難時耶和華作他們的避難所。耶和華幫助他們，解救他們；他解救他們脫離惡人，把他們救出來，因為他們投靠他。
