昂首而圍我者、願其口之奸惡、反乎己身兮、

彼謗毀四起、欲荼毒予、爾使之自取其戾兮。

為魁首以圍困我者、願其口所出之毒言、反辱己身、

莫容群小。橫行無度。莫容惡計。暢遂無阻。恐長其傲。揚揚闊步。

Those who surround me proudly rear their heads; may the mischief of their lips engulf them.

Those who are all around me proudly raise their heads. May the trouble they planned for me happen to them.

As for the head of those who surround me, let the mischief of their lips overwhelm them!

Let my enemies be destroyed by the very evil they have planned for me.

When those who surround me rise up, may the trouble their lips cause overwhelm them.

His wife Zeresh and all his friends said to him,“ Have a pole set up, reaching to a height of fifty cubits, and ask the king in the morning to have Mordecai impaled on it. Then go with the king to the banquet and enjoy yourself.” This suggestion delighted Haman, and he had the pole set up. (niv)

He will turn their own tongues against them and bring them to ruin; all who see them will shake their heads in scorn. (niv)

All the people answered,“ His blood is on us and on our children!” (niv)

Blessings crown the head of the righteous, but violence overwhelms the mouth of the wicked. (niv)

He will repay them for their sins and destroy them for their wickedness; the Lord our God will destroy them. (niv)

The mouth of the righteous is a fountain of life, but the mouth of the wicked conceals violence. (niv)

So they impaled Haman on the pole he had set up for Mordecai. Then the king’s fury subsided. (niv)
