蓋彼固爾門楗、錫嘏爾中子女兮、

爾之門楗、既堅既固、爾之人民、鍚福鍚祉、主使然兮、

因主使爾門之扃堅固、賜福於爾中居民、

主既堅爾城。又復鞏爾門。

He strengthens the bars of your gates and blesses your people within you.

He makes the metal bars of your gates stronger. He blesses the people who live inside you.

For he strengthens the bars of your gates; he blesses your children within you.

For he has strengthened the bars of your gates and blessed your children within your walls.

For he strengthens the bars of your city gates and blesses your children within you.

For He has strengthened the bars of your gates; He has blessed your sons among you.

Peace be upon Israel.

Jehovah increase you more and more, You and your children.Blessed are ye of Jehovah, Who made heaven and earth.

For I will pour water upon him that is thirsty, and streams upon the dry ground; I will pour my Spirit upon thy seed, and my blessing upon thine offspring:and they shall spring up among the grass, as willows by the watercourses.One shall say, I am Jehovah’s; and another shall call himself by the name of Jacob; and another shall subscribe with his hand unto Jehovah, and surname himself by the name of Israel.

And out of them shall proceed thanksgiving and the voice of them that make merry: and I will multiply them, and they shall not be few; I will also glorify them, and they shall not be small.Their children also shall be as aforetime, and their congregation shall be established before me; and I will punish all that oppress them.

When our sons shall be as plants grown up in their youth, And our daughters as corner- stones hewn after the fashion of a palace;

As the mountains are round about Jerusalem, So Jehovah is round about his people From this time forth and for evermore.

Then Eliashib the high priest rose up with his brethren the priests, and they builded the sheep gate; they sanctified it, and set up the doors of it; even unto the tower of Hammeah they sanctified it, unto the tower of Hananel.And next unto him builded the men of Jericho. And next to them builded Zaccur the son of Imri.And the fish gate did the sons of Hassenaah build; they laid the beams thereof, and set up the doors thereof, the bolts thereof, and the bars thereof.And next unto them repaired Meremoth the son of Uriah, the son of Hakkoz. And next unto them repaired Meshullam the son of Berechiah, the son of Meshezabel. And next unto him repaired Hattush the son of Hashabneiah.Malchijah the son of Harim, and Hasshub the son of Pahath- moab, repaired another portion, and the tower of the furnaces.And next unto him repaired Shallum the son of Hallohesh, the ruler of half the district of Jerusalem, he and his daughters.The valley gate repaired Hanun, and the inhabitants of Zanoah; they built it, and set up the doors thereof, the bolts thereof, and the bars thereof, and a thousand cubits of the wall unto the dung gate.And the dung gate repaired Malchijah the son of Rechab, the ruler of the district of Beth- haccherem; he built it, and set up the doors thereof, the bolts thereof, and the bars thereof.And the fountain gate repaired Shallun the son of Colhozeh, the ruler of the district of Mizpah; he built it, and covered it, and set up the doors thereof, the bolts thereof, and the bars thereof, and the wall of the pool of Shelah by the king’s garden, even unto the stairs that go down from the city of David.After him repaired Nehemiah the son of Azbuk, the ruler of half the district of Beth- zur, unto the place over against the sepulchres of David, and unto the pool that was made, and unto the house of the mighty men.

And the priests and the Levites purified themselves; and they purified the people, and the gates, and the wall.

saying, If thou hadst known in this day, even thou, the things which belong unto peace! but now they are hid from thine eyes.For the days shall come upon thee, when thine enemies shall cast up a bank about thee, and compass thee round, and keep thee in on every side,and shall dash thee to the ground, and thy children within thee; and they shall not leave in thee one stone upon another; because thou knewest not the time of thy visitation.

Thus saith Jehovah: I am returned unto Zion, and will dwell in the midst of Jerusalem: and Jerusalem shall be called The city of truth; and the mountain of Jehovah of hosts, The holy mountain.Thus saith Jehovah of hosts: There shall yet old men and old women dwell in the streets of Jerusalem, every man with his staff in his hand for very age.And the streets of the city shall be full of boys and girls playing in the streets thereof.

And I said unto them, Let not the gates of Jerusalem be opened until the sun be hot; and while they stand on guard, let them shut the doors, and bar ye them: and appoint watches of the inhabitants of Jerusalem, every one in his watch, and every one to be over against his house.

Now it came to pass, when it was reported to Sanballat and Tobiah, and to Geshem the Arabian, and unto the rest of our enemies, that I had builded the wall, and that there was no breach left therein( though even unto that time I had not set up the doors in the gates),

Now it came to pass, when the wall was built, and I had set up the doors, and the porters and the singers and the Levites were appointed,

Jehovah hath purposed to destroy the wall of the daughter of Zion; He hath stretched out the line, he hath not withdrawn his hand from destroying; And he hath made the rampart and wall to lament; they languish together.Her gates are sunk into the ground; he hath destroyed and broken her bars: Her king and her princes are among the nations where the law is not; Yea, her prophets find no vision from Jehovah.

Do good in thy good pleasure unto Zion: Build thou the walls of Jerusalem.

Let mount Zion be glad, Let the daughters of Judah rejoice, Because of thy judgments.Walk about Zion, and go round about her; Number the towers thereof;Mark ye well her bulwarks; Consider her palaces: That ye may tell it to the generation following.For this God is our God for ever and ever: He will be our guide even unto death.

The kings of the earth believed not, neither all the inhabitants of the world, That the adversary and the enemy would enter into the gates of Jerusalem.

Know therefore and discern, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the anointed one, the prince, shall be seven weeks, and threescore and two weeks: it shall be built again, with street and moat, even in troublous times.
