“ The Lord looked down from his sanctuary on high, from heaven he viewed the earth,

The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands.

I looked, and I saw the likeness of a throne of lapis lazuli above the vault that was over the heads of the cherubim.

Spread out above the heads of the living creatures was what looked something like a vault, sparkling like crystal, and awesome.Under the vault their wings were stretched out one toward the other, and each had two wings covering its body.When the creatures moved, I heard the sound of their wings, like the roar of rushing waters, like the voice of the Almighty, like the tumult of an army. When they stood still, they lowered their wings.Then there came a voice from above the vault over their heads as they stood with lowered wings.Above the vault over their heads was what looked like a throne of lapis lazuli, and high above on the throne was a figure like that of a man.

I will come to your temple with burnt offerings and fulfill my vows to you—vows my lips promised and my mouth spoke when I was in trouble.I will sacrifice fat animals to you and an offering of rams; I will offer bulls and goats.Come and hear, all you who fear God; let me tell you what he has done for me.

Open for me the gates of the righteous; I will enter and give thanks to the Lord.This is the gate of the Lord through which the righteous may enter.

I will fulfill my vows to the Lord in the presence of all his people,in the courts of the house of the Lord— in your midst, Jerusalem. Praise the Lord.

And God said,“ Let there be a vault between the waters to separate water from water.”So God made the vault and separated the water under the vault from the water above it. And it was so.God called the vault“ sky.” And there was evening, and there was morning— the second day.
