So my heart is glad. Joy is on my tongue. My body also will be secure.

因此我心歡欣、我靈我靈或作我體之榮喜樂、我身軀亦享安康、

魂安魄亦舒。

So my heart will sing your praises. I can’t keep silent. Lord, my God, I will praise you forever.

So my heart is glad and joy is on my tongue. My whole body will be full of hope.

My spirit, wake up! Harp and lyre, wake up! I want to sing and make music before the sun rises.

Fill my heart with joy when the people have lots of grain and fresh wine.In peace I will lie down and sleep. Lord, you alone keep me safe.

God, my heart feels secure. I will sing and make music to you with all my heart.

Brothers and sisters, we want you to know what happens to those who die. We don’t want you to mourn, as other people do. They mourn because they don’t have any hope.We believe that Jesus died and rose again. When he returns, many who believe in him will have died already. We believe that God will bring them back with Jesus.

When trouble comes, sinners are brought down. But godly people seek safety in God even as they die.

In the same way, the tongue is a small part of a person’s body. But it talks big. Think about how a small spark can set a big forest on fire.The tongue is also a fire. The tongue is the most evil part of the body. It makes the whole body impure. It sets a person’s whole way of life on fire. And the tongue itself is set on fire by hell.People have tamed all kinds of wild animals, birds, reptiles and sea creatures. And they still tame them.But no one can tame the tongue. It is an evil thing that never rests. It is full of deadly poison.With our tongues we praise our Lord and Father. With our tongues we curse people. We do it even though people have been created to be like God.

At that time Jesus was full of joy through the Holy Spirit. He said,“ I praise you, Father. You are Lord of heaven and earth. You have hidden these things from wise and educated people. But you have shown them to little children. Yes, Father. This is what you wanted to do.“ My Father has given all things to me. The Father is the only one who knows who the Son is. And the only ones who know the Father are the Son and those to whom the Son chooses to make the Father known.”

Lord, your people who have died will live again. Their bodies will rise from the dead. Let those who lie in the grave wake up and shout for joy. You give life, Lord, like the dew of the morning. So the earth will give up its dead people.

If someone dies, will they live again? All the days of my hard work I will wait for the time when you give me new life.You will call out to me, and I will answer you. You will long for the person your hands have made.

Though my skin will be destroyed, in my body I’ll see God.I myself will see him with my own eyes. I’ll see him, and he won’t be a stranger to me. How my heart longs for that day!
