Show me the wonders of your great love, you who save by your right hand those who take refuge in you from their foes.

Show me the wonders of your great love. By using your great power, you save those who go to you for safety from their enemies.

Wondrously show your steadfast love, O Savior of those who seek refuge from their adversaries at your right hand.

Show me your unfailing love in wonderful ways. By your mighty power you rescue those who seek refuge from their enemies.

Now I know that the Lord gives victory to His anointed; He will answer him from His holy heaven with mighty victories from His right hand.

May the Lord be praised, for He has wonderfully shown His faithful love to me in a city under siege.

But let all who take refuge in You rejoice; let them shout for joy forever. May You shelter them, and may those who love Your name boast about You.For You, Lord, bless the righteous one; You surround him with favor like a shield.

Do not fear, for I am with you; do not be afraid, for I am your God. I will strengthen you; I will help you; I will hold on to you with My righteous right hand.

Save with Your right hand, and answer me, so that those You love may be rescued.

Therefore, since He has been exalted to the right hand of God and has received from the Father the promised Holy Spirit, He has poured out what you both see and hear.

Lord, Your right hand is glorious in power. Lord, Your right hand shattered the enemy.

I will defend this city and rescue it for My sake and for the sake of My servant David.”

The law came along to multiply the trespass. But where sin multiplied, grace multiplied even moreso that, just as sin reigned in death, so also grace will reign through righteousness, resulting in eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Rise up, Lord God! Lift up Your hand. Do not forget the afflicted.Why has the wicked person despised God? David said to the Philistine:“ You come against me with a dagger, spear, and sword, but I come against you in the name of Yahweh of Hosts, the God of Israel’s armies— you have defied Him.Today, the Lord will hand you over to me. Today, I’ll strike you down, cut your head off, and give the corpses of the Philistine camp to the birds of the sky and the creatures of the earth. Then all the world will know that Israel has a God,and this whole assembly will know that it is not by sword or by spear that the Lord saves, for the battle is the Lord’s. He will hand you over to us.”When the Philistine started forward to attack him, David ran quickly to the battle line to meet the Philistine.David put his hand in the bag, took out a stone, slung it, and hit the Philistine on his forehead. The stone sank into his forehead, and he fell on his face to the ground.David defeated the Philistine with a sling and a stone. Even though David had no sword, he struck down the Philistine and killed him.David ran and stood over him. He grabbed the Philistine’s sword, pulled it from its sheath, and used it to kill him. Then he cut off his head. When the Philistines saw that their hero was dead, they ran.The men of Israel and Judah rallied, shouting their battle cry, and chased the Philistines to the entrance of the valley and to the gates of Ekron. Philistine bodies were strewn all along the Shaaraim road to Gath and Ekron.When the Israelites returned from the pursuit of the Philistines, they plundered their camps.David took Goliath’s head and brought it to Jerusalem, but he put Goliath’s weapons in his own tent.When Saul had seen David going out to confront the Philistine, he asked Abner the commander of the army,“ Whose son is this youth, Abner?”“ My king, as surely as you live, I don’t know,” Abner replied.The king said,“ Find out whose son this young man is!”When David returned from killing the Philistine, Abner took him and brought him before Saul with the Philistine’s head still in his hand.

He worked wonders in the sight of their fathers in the land of Egypt, the region of Zoan.

They sang the song of God’s servant Moses and the song of the Lamb: Great and awe-inspiring are Your works, Lord God, the Almighty; righteous and true are Your ways, King of the Nations.

For the eyes of Yahweh roam throughout the earth to show Himself strong for those whose hearts are completely His. You have been foolish in this matter. Therefore, you will have wars from now on.”

Who is it you mocked and blasphemed? Against whom have you raised your voice and lifted your eyes in pride? Against the Holy One of Israel!

For they did not take the land by their sword— their arm did not bring them victory— but by Your right hand, Your arm, and the light of Your face, for You were pleased with them.

Please forgive your servant’s offense, for the Lord is certain to make a lasting dynasty for my lord because he fights the Lord’s battles. Throughout your life, may evil not be found in you.“ When someone pursues you and attempts to take your life, my lord’s life will be tucked safely in the place where the Lord your God protects the living. However, He will fling away your enemies’ lives like stones from a sling.
