但我要问，以色列人没有听过吗？当然听过。因为“他们的声音传遍天下，他们的话语传到地极。”

你身披光华如披外袍，你铺展穹苍如铺幔子。

上帝说：“天空要有光体，以区分昼夜，作记号，定节令，计算年日，发光普照大地。”果然如此。上帝造了两个大光体，较大的管白昼，较小的管黑夜，又造了星辰。上帝把这些光体摆列在天空，让它们发光普照大地，管理昼夜，分开明暗。上帝看了，感到满意。

祂没有忘记以慈爱和信实对待以色列人，普天下都看见我们的上帝拯救了我们。

但必有公义的太阳为你们这些敬畏我名的人升起，它的光芒有医治的能力。你们必像栏中出来的牛犊一样欢欣跳跃。

但我们并非漫无边际地夸口，而是在上帝为我们定下的范围之内夸口，你们也包括在这范围之内。其实把你们包括在我们夸口的范围之内一点都不过分，因为我们曾把基督的福音传到你们那里。我们没有超出范围拿别人辛劳的成果夸口，只盼望随着你们信心的增长，我们的范围也得到极大的扩展，使我们可以把福音传到你们以外的地方，而不是在别人的工作范围内拿别人的成就夸口。

祂对我说：“我不仅要你做我的仆人，去复兴雅各的众支派，使以色列的余民重归故土，我还要使你成为外族人的光，好把我的救恩带到地极。”
