It is like a bridegroom coming out of his chamber, like a champion rejoicing to run his course.

The sun is like a groom leaving the room of his wedding night. The sun is like a great runner who takes delight in running a race.

which comes out like a bridegroom leaving his chamber, and, like a strong man, runs its course with joy.

It bursts forth like a radiant bridegroom after his wedding. It rejoices like a great athlete eager to run the race.

Which is like a groom coming out of his chamber; It rejoices like a strong person to run his course.

Which is like a bridegroom coming out of his chamber, And rejoices like a strong man to run its race.

Which is as a bridegroom coming out of his chamber, And rejoiceth as a strong man to run his course.

It is like a groom coming from the bridal chamber; it rejoices like an athlete running a course.

Like a bridegroom it emerges from its chamber; like a strong man it enjoys running its course.

Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and reaching forward to what is ahead,I pursue as my goal the prize promised by God’s heavenly call in Christ Jesus.

The sun rises and the sun sets; panting, it hurries back to the place where it rises.

For as a young man marries a young woman, so your sons will marry you; and as a groom rejoices over his bride, so your God will rejoice over you.

Don’t you know that the runners in a stadium all race, but only one receives the prize? Run in such a way to win the prize.Now everyone who competes exercises self-control in everything. They do it to receive a perishable crown, but we an imperishable crown.So I do not run like one who runs aimlessly or box like one beating the air.

I rejoice greatly in the LORD, I exult in my God; for he has clothed me with the garments of salvation and wrapped me in a robe of righteousness, as a groom wears a turban and as a bride adorns herself with her jewels.

Therefore, since we also have such a large cloud of witnesses surrounding us, let us lay aside every hindrance and the sin that so easily ensnares us. Let us run with endurance the race that lies before us,keeping our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of our faith. For the joy that lay before him, he endured the cross, despising the shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.

He who has the bride is the groom. But the groom’s friend, who stands by and listens for him, rejoices greatly at the groom’s voice. So this joy of mine is complete.
