The horse is prepared for the day of battle, But the victory belongs to the Lord.

And you said,“ No, for we will flee on horses!” Therefore you shall flee!“ And we will ride on swift horses!” Therefore those who pursue you shall be swift.

When the sons of Israel fled from Judah, God handed them over to them.

But the Arameans fled from Israel, and David killed seven hundred charioteers of the Arameans and forty thousand horsemen, and struck Shobach the commander of their army, and he died there.

And David captured from him 1,700 horsemen and twenty thousand foot soldiers; and David hamstrung almost all the chariot horses, but left enough of them for a hundred chariots.

Now the Philistines assembled to fight with Israel, thirty thousand chariots and six thousand horsemen, and people like the sand which is on the seashore in abundance; and they came up and camped in Michmash, east of Beth aven.
