I will not fear though tens of thousands assail me on every side.

I won’t be afraid even though tens of thousands attack me on every side.

I will not be afraid of many thousands of people who have set themselves against me all around.

I will not be afraid of thousands of people who have taken their stand against me on every side.

I will not be afraid of ten thousands of people Who have set themselves against me all around.

Though hostile nations surrounded me, I destroyed them all with the authority of the Lord.Yes, they surrounded and attacked me, but I destroyed them all with the authority of the Lord.They swarmed around me like bees; they blazed against me like a crackling fire. But I destroyed them all with the authority of the Lord.

When the servant of the man of God got up early the next morning and went outside, there were troops, horses, and chariots everywhere.“ Oh, sir, what will we do now?” the young man cried to Elisha.“ Don’t be afraid!” Elisha told him.“ For there are more on our side than on theirs!”Then Elisha prayed,“ O Lord, open his eyes and let him see!” The Lord opened the young man’s eyes, and when he looked up, he saw that the hillside around Elisha was filled with horses and chariots of fire.

What shall we say about such wonderful things as these? If God is for us, who can ever be against us?

The Lord is my light and my salvation— so why should I be afraid? The Lord is my fortress, protecting me from danger, so why should I tremble?When evil people come to devour me, when my enemies and foes attack me, they will stumble and fall.Though a mighty army surrounds me, my heart will not be afraid. Even if I am attacked, I will remain confident.

Even when I walk through the darkest valley, I will not be afraid, for you are close beside me. Your rod and your staff protect and comfort me.

The Lord of Heaven’s Armies is here among us; the God of Israel is our fortress. Interlude

So we will not fear when earthquakes come and the mountains crumble into the sea.
