Surely God is my help; the Lord is the one who sustains me. (niv)

Answer me quickly, Lord; my spirit fails. Do not hide your face from me or I will be like those who go down to the pit.Let the morning bring me word of your unfailing love, for I have put my trust in you. Show me the way I should go, for to you I entrust my life. (niv)

When they hurled their insults at him, he did not retaliate; when he suffered, he made no threats. Instead, he entrusted himself to him who judges justly. (niv)

The Lord hears the needy and does not despise his captive people. (niv)

Jesus replied,“ Foxes have dens and birds have nests, but the Son of Man has no place to lay his head.” (niv)

Listen, my dear brothers and sisters: Has not God chosen those who are poor in the eyes of the world to be rich in faith and to inherit the kingdom he promised those who love him? (niv)

He who testifies to these things says,“ Yes, I am coming soon.” Amen. Come, Lord Jesus. (niv)
