主之安宅誰能動。恩澤騰沸在清晨。

Nations are in uproar, kingdoms fall; he lifts his voice, the earth melts.

Nations are in disorder. Kingdoms fall. God speaks, and the people of the earth melt in fear.

The nations are in chaos, and their kingdoms crumble! God’s voice thunders, and the earth melts!

Nations rage, kingdoms topple; the earth melts when he lifts his voice.

The nations made an uproar, the kingdoms tottered; He raised His voice, the earth quaked.

The Lord God of hosts, he who touches the earth and it melts, and all who dwell in it mourn, and all of it rises like the Nile, and sinks again, like the Nile of Egypt;

The Lord also thundered in the heavens, and the Most High uttered his voice, hailstones and coals of fire.

And they said to Joshua,“ Truly the Lord has given all the land into our hands. And also, all the inhabitants of the land melt away because of us.”

and said to the men,“ I know that the Lord has given you the land, and that the fear of you has fallen upon us, and that all the inhabitants of the land melt away before you.

The mountains melt like wax before the Lord, before the Lord of all the earth.

Then I saw a great white throne and him who was seated on it. From his presence earth and sky fled away, and no place was found for them.

the earth quaked, the heavens poured down rain, before God, the One of Sinai, before God, the God of Israel.

Why do the nations rage and the peoples plot in vain?The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the Lord and against his Anointed, saying,“ Let us burst their bonds apart and cast away their cords from us.”He who sits in the heavens laughs; the Lord holds them in derision.

Be broken, you peoples, and be shattered; give ear, all you far countries; strap on your armor and be shattered; strap on your armor and be shattered.Take counsel together, but it will come to nothing; speak a word, but it will not stand, for God is with us.

For behold, your enemies make an uproar; those who hate you have raised their heads.They lay crafty plans against your people; they consult together against your treasured ones.They say,“ Come, let us wipe them out as a nation; let the name of Israel be remembered no more!”For they conspire with one accord; against you they make a covenant—the tents of Edom and the Ishmaelites, Moab and the Hagrites,Gebal and Ammon and Amalek, Philistia with the inhabitants of Tyre;Asshur also has joined them; they are the strong arm of the children of Lot. and the stars of the sky fell to the earth as the fig tree sheds its winter fruit when shaken by a gale.The sky vanished like a scroll that is being rolled up, and every mountain and island was removed from its place.

And he said:“ The Lord roars from Zion and utters his voice from Jerusalem; the pastures of the shepherds mourn, and the top of Carmel withers.”

“ You, therefore, shall prophesy against them all these words, and say to them:“‘ The Lord will roar from on high, and from his holy habitation utter his voice; he will roar mightily against his fold, and shout, like those who tread grapes, against all the inhabitants of the earth.

The Lord utters his voice before his army, for his camp is exceedingly great; he who executes his word is powerful. For the day of the Lord is great and very awesome; who can endure it?

After this the Moabites and Ammonites, and with them some of the Meunites, came against Jehoshaphat for battle.

The mountains saw you and writhed; the raging waters swept on; the deep gave forth its voice; it lifted its hands on high.The sun and moon stood still in their place at the light of your arrows as they sped, at the flash of your glittering spear.

Oh that you would rend the heavens and come down, that the mountains might quake at your presence—as when fire kindles brushwood and the fire causes water to boil— to make your name known to your adversaries, and that the nations might tremble at your presence!

to him who rides in the heavens, the ancient heavens; behold, he sends out his voice, his mighty voice.

But the day of the Lord will come like a thief, and then the heavens will pass away with a roar, and the heavenly bodies will be burned up and dissolved, and the earth and the works that are done on it will be exposed.Since all these things are thus to be dissolved, what sort of people ought you to be in lives of holiness and godliness,waiting for and hastening the coming of the day of God, because of which the heavens will be set on fire and dissolved, and the heavenly bodies will melt as they burn!

Then Isaiah the son of Amoz sent to Hezekiah, saying,“ Thus says the Lord, the God of Israel: Because you have prayed to me concerning Sennacherib king of Assyria,this is the word that the Lord has spoken concerning him:“‘ She despises you, she scorns you— the virgin daughter of Zion; she wags her head behind you— the daughter of Jerusalem.“‘ Whom have you mocked and reviled? Against whom have you raised your voice and lifted your eyes to the heights? Against the Holy One of Israel!By your servants you have mocked the Lord, and you have said, With my many chariots I have gone up the heights of the mountains, to the far recesses of Lebanon, to cut down its tallest cedars, its choicest cypresses, to come to its remotest height, its most fruitful forest.I dug wells and drank waters, to dry up with the sole of my foot all the streams of Egypt.“‘ Have you not heard that I determined it long ago? I planned from days of old what now I bring to pass, that you should make fortified cities crash into heaps of ruins,while their inhabitants, shorn of strength, are dismayed and confounded, and have become like plants of the field and like tender grass, like grass on the housetops, blighted before it is grown.“‘ I know your sitting down and your going out and coming in, and your raging against me.Because you have raged against me and your complacency has come to my ears, I will put my hook in your nose and my bit in your mouth, and I will turn you back on the way by which you came.’“ And this shall be the sign for you: this year you shall eat what grows of itself, and in the second year what springs from that. Then in the third year sow and reap, and plant vineyards, and eat their fruit.And the surviving remnant of the house of Judah shall again take root downward and bear fruit upward.For out of Jerusalem shall go a remnant, and out of Mount Zion a band of survivors. The zeal of the Lord of hosts will do this.“ Therefore thus says the Lord concerning the king of Assyria: He shall not come into this city or shoot an arrow there or come before it with a shield or cast up a siege mound against it.By the way that he came, by the same he shall return, and he shall not come into this city, declares the Lord.For I will defend this city to save it, for my own sake and for the sake of my servant David.”And the angel of the Lord went out and struck down 185,000 in the camp of the Assyrians. And when people arose early in the morning, behold, these were all dead bodies.
