因此，见他人财富增多，日益奢华，不要害怕。

别人发财，家室增荣的时候，你不要惧怕。

当有人变得富有，他家中的尊荣增多的时候，你不要害怕，

見人發財、家室增榮的時候，你不要懼怕；

見人發財、家室日益顯赫的時候，你不要懼怕；

見人發財、家室日益顯赫的時候，你不要懼怕；

因此，見他人財富增多，日益奢華，不要害怕。

人殖貨財、門庭炫赫、爾毋懼兮、

Do not be overawed when others grow rich, when the splendor of their houses increases;

Don’t get too upset when other people become rich. Don’t be troubled when they become more and more wealthy.

Be not afraid when a man becomes rich, when the glory of his house increases.

So don’t be dismayed when the wicked grow rich and their homes become ever more splendid.

Do not be afraid when a person gets rich, when the wealth of his house increases.

Do not be afraid when a person becomes rich, When the splendor of his house is increased;

Do not be afraid when one becomes rich, When the glory of his house is increased;

Be not thou afraid when one is made rich, When the glory of his house is increased:

Do not be afraid when a man gets rich, when the wealth of his house increases.

Do not be afraid when a man becomes rich and his wealth multiplies!

After these events, King Xerxes honored Haman son of Hammedatha, the Agagite, elevating him and giving him a seat of honor higher than that of all the other nobles.All the royal officials at the king’s gate knelt down and paid honor to Haman, for the king had commanded this concerning him. But Mordecai would not kneel down or pay him honor.Then the royal officials at the king’s gate asked Mordecai,“ Why do you disobey the king’s command?”Day after day they spoke to him but he refused to comply. Therefore they told Haman about it to see whether Mordecai’s behavior would be tolerated, for he had told them he was a Jew.When Haman saw that Mordecai would not kneel down or pay him honor, he was enraged.Yet having learned who Mordecai’s people were, he scorned the idea of killing only Mordecai. Instead Haman looked for a way to destroy all Mordecai’s people, the Jews, throughout the whole kingdom of Xerxes. (niv)

When the righteous triumph, there is great elation; but when the wicked rise to power, people go into hiding. (niv)

Do not fret because of those who are evil or be envious of those who do wrong; (niv)

Haman boasted to them about his vast wealth, his many sons, and all the ways the king had honored him and how he had elevated him above the other nobles and officials. (niv)

Jacob heard that Laban’s sons were saying,“ Jacob has taken everything our father owned and has gained all this wealth from what belonged to our father.” (niv)
