爾罪參在上。吾暫守緘默。遂謂吾無見。與爾為同德。詎知時已屆。將降爾顯罰。罪孽彰在目。何由逭爾責。

When you did these things and I kept silent, you thought I was exactly like you. But I now arraign you and set my accusations before you.

Whom are you worried about? Whom do you fear, that you would act so deceitfully and not remember me or think about me? Because I have been silent for so long, you are not afraid of me.

The one who stiffens his neck after numerous rebukes will suddenly be destroyed without remedy.

Or do you have contempt for the wealth of his kindness, forbearance, and patience, and yet do not know that God’s kindness leads you to repentance?But because of your stubbornness and your unrepentant heart, you are storing up wrath for yourselves in the day of wrath, when God’s righteous judgment is revealed!

When a sentence is not executed at once against a crime, the human heart is encouraged to do evil.Even though a sinner might commit a hundred crimes and still live a long time, yet I know that it will go well with God-fearing people– for they stand in fear before him.

So then, do not judge anything before the time. Wait until the Lord comes. He will bring to light the hidden things of darkness and reveal the motives of hearts. Then each will receive recognition from God.

The Lord is not slow concerning his promise, as some regard slowness, but is being patient toward you, because he does not wish for any to perish but for all to come to repentance.

Then they say,“ The LORD does not see this; the God of Jacob does not take notice of it.”Take notice of this, you ignorant people! You fools, when will you ever understand?Does the one who makes the human ear not hear? Does the one who forms the human eye not see?Does the one who disciplines the nations not punish? He is the one who imparts knowledge to human beings!The LORD knows that peoples’ thoughts are morally bankrupt.

For God will evaluate every deed, including every secret thing, whether good or evil.

Our God approaches and is not silent; consuming fire goes ahead of him and all around him a storm rages.

“ I have been inactive for a long time; I kept quiet and held back. Like a woman in labor I groan; I pant and gasp.

The LORD confirms this oath by the arrogance of Jacob:“ I swear I will never forget all you have done!

All those I love, I rebuke and discipline. So be earnest and repent!

God said to Moses,“ I AM that I AM.” And he said,“ You must say this to the Israelites,‘ I AM has sent me to you.’”

They say,“ How does God know what we do? Is the sovereign one aware of what goes on?”

Look, the nations are like a drop in a bucket; they are regarded as dust on the scales. He lifts the coastlands as if they were dust.Not even Lebanon could supply enough firewood for a sacrifice; its wild animals would not provide enough burnt offerings.All the nations are insignificant before him; they are regarded as absolutely nothing.To whom can you compare God? To what image can you liken him?

O God whom I praise, do not ignore me!For they say cruel and deceptive things to me; they lie to me.They surround me and say hateful things; they attack me for no reason.

God is not a man, that he should lie, nor a human being, that he should change his mind. Has he said, and will he not do it? Or has he spoken, and will he not make it happen?

If the wicked are shown mercy, they do not learn about justice. Even in a land where right is rewarded, they act unjustly; they do not see the LORD’s majesty revealed.

I am not condemning you because of your sacrifices, or because of your burnt sacrifices that you continually offer me.
