说：“看哪，这就是那不以神为他力量的人，只倚仗他丰富的财物，在邪恶上坚立自己。”

“看啊，这就是不依靠上帝的人，他只倚仗自己的财富和以残暴手段获得的权势。”

“看哪！这就是那不以神为自己保障的人，他只倚靠自己丰盛的财富，以毁灭别人来加强自己的力量。”

說：看哪，這就是那不以神為他力量的人，只倚仗他豐富的財物，在邪惡上堅立自己。

「看啊，這就是不依靠上帝的人，他只倚仗自己的財富和以殘暴手段獲得的權勢。」

“看哪！這就是那不以神為自己保障的人，他只倚靠自己豐盛的財富，以毀滅別人來加強自己的力量。”

『看哪，這就是那不以上帝為逃難所的勇士！他只倚靠他財物之豐富，而逃難於自己的毁滅中！』

曰、試觀斯人、不以上帝為力、惟恃多財、以惡自固兮、

曰、彼其之子、輕上帝之能力、恃一己之貨財、強悍作惡兮、

云、不仰賴天主保護、惟恃己之多財、盡力作惡者、即是此人、

誰知天網恢恢兮。將滅爾以終古。逐爾於家室之外兮。除爾於永生之圃。

“ Here now is the man who did not make God his stronghold but trusted in his great wealth and grew strong by destroying others!”

“ Just look at this fellow! He didn’t depend on God for his safety. He put his trust in all his wealth. He grew strong by destroying others!”

“ Look what happens to mighty warriors who do not trust in God. They trust their wealth instead and grow more and more bold in their wickedness.”

你确实把他们放在易滑之地，使他们仆倒灭亡。他们怎么在一瞬间就成了废墟呢？他们被恐怖的事彻底扫除！人醒来时怎样轻视梦，主啊，你醒起时，也会怎样轻视梦幻般的他们！

没有人能掌控风把风留住；也没有人能掌管死期；战争之时，无人能免；邪恶也救不了行邪恶的人。

这时候，耶稣出来了，他戴着荆棘冠冕，披着紫色袍子。彼拉多对他们说：“看，这个人！”

他们只是依靠财富、自夸多财的人。人实在不能救赎弟兄，也不能把他的赎价交给神，——因为灵魂的赎价昂贵，人只好永远罢休——好使他永久存活，不看到阴坑。要知道，人必看见智慧人也会死；愚昧人和愚拙人一同灭亡，把他们的财富留给别人。他们以为自己的家必存到永远，他们的住所必存到万代；他们用自己的名字给土地命名。可是人在尊荣中不能持久，就像要灭亡的牲畜一样。这就是那些愚昧之人的道路，也是他们之后那些喜悦他们话语之人的道路。细拉他们像注定下到阴间的羊群，死亡将作他们的牧者；到了清晨，正直人将管辖他们。他们的形体必被阴间吞噬，无处容身。然而神将救赎我的灵魂脱离阴间的权势，他必会把我接去。细拉当有人变得富有，他家中的尊荣增多的时候，你不要害怕，因为他死的时候，什么都带不走，他的尊荣也不能随着他下去。虽然人活着的时候自夸为有福，说：“只要你做得好，人们就会称赞你”，但他的灵魂却要归到他历代的祖先那里，永远不再看到光。人在尊荣中却没有悟性，就像要灭亡的牲畜一样。

对那些今世富有的人，你当吩咐他们不可高傲自大，也不可把盼望寄托在靠不住的财富上，而要寄托在神身上，神把万物丰丰富富地赐给我们享受。

卑贱的人不过是虚空，尊贵的人也只是虚幻；把他们放在天平上，他们那边就向上升，他们加起来比空气还轻。你不要依靠欺压，也不要妄想抢夺；即使财富增加，也不要放在心上。

“那些看见你的都必注视你，他们要审视你，说：‘那使大地颤抖，使列国震动的，难道就是这人吗？那使世界如同荒野，倾覆其城镇，又不释放囚犯回家的，难道就是这人吗？’

他们的眼睛因体胖而凸出，心里的妄想四处泛滥。他们讥讽、嘲笑，怀着恶意说欺压人的话。他们说话出于高傲；他们开口亵渎上天，他们的舌头殃及全地。因此连神的子民也转向那里，喝了他们大量的水。他们说：“神怎能知道呢？至高者有知识吗？”

你们不要依靠高贵的人，不要依靠世人，在他们那里没有拯救。他们的气一断，就归回尘土；他们所谋划的在当日就消亡了。以雅各的神为自己的帮助、以耶和华神为自己盼望的，那人是蒙福的！
