Foolish people say in their hearts,“ There is no God.” They do all kinds of horrible and evil things. No one does anything good.

The Fool says in his heart,“ There is no God.” They are corrupt, doing abominable iniquity; there is none who does good.

Only fools say in their hearts,“ There is no God.” They are corrupt, and their actions are evil; not one of them does good!

In his pride the wicked man does not seek him; in all his thoughts there is no room for God.

As it is written:“ There is no one righteous, not even one;there is no one who understands; there is no one who seeks God.All have turned away, they have together become worthless; there is no one who does good, not even one.”“ Their throats are open graves; their tongues practice deceit.”“ The poison of vipers is on their lips.”“ Their mouths are full of cursing and bitterness.”“ Their feet are swift to shed blood;ruin and misery mark their ways,and the way of peace they do not know.”“ There is no fear of God before their eyes.”Now we know that whatever the law says, it says to those who are under the law, so that every mouth may be silenced and the whole world held accountable to God.Therefore no one will be declared righteous in God’s sight by the works of the law; rather, through the law we become conscious of our sin.But now apart from the law the righteousness of God has been made known, to which the Law and the Prophets testify.This righteousness is given through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe. There is no difference between Jew and Gentile,for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,and all are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus.God presented Christ as a sacrifice of atonement, through the shedding of his blood— to be received by faith. He did this to demonstrate his righteousness, because in his forbearance he had left the sins committed beforehand unpunished—he did it to demonstrate his righteousness at the present time, so as to be just and the one who justifies those who have faith in Jesus.Where, then, is boasting? It is excluded. Because of what law? The law that requires works? No, because of the law that requires faith.For we maintain that a person is justified by faith apart from the works of the law.Or is God the God of Jews only? Is he not the God of Gentiles too? Yes, of Gentiles too,since there is only one God, who will justify the circumcised by faith and the uncircumcised through that same faith.Do we, then, nullify the law by this faith? Not at all! Rather, we uphold the law.

Furthermore, just as they did not think it worthwhile to retain the knowledge of God, so God gave them over to a depraved mind, so that they do what ought not to be done.

“‘ Do not defile yourselves in any of these ways, because this is how the nations that I am going to drive out before you became defiled.Even the land was defiled; so I punished it for its sin, and the land vomited out its inhabitants.But you must keep my decrees and my laws. The native- born and the foreigners residing among you must not do any of these detestable things,for all these things were done by the people who lived in the land before you, and the land became defiled.And if you defile the land, it will vomit you out as it vomited out the nations that were before you.“‘ Everyone who does any of these detestable things— such persons must be cut off from their people.Keep my requirements and do not follow any of the detestable customs that were practiced before you came and do not defile yourselves with them. I am the Lord your God.’”

There were even male shrine prostitutes in the land; the people engaged in all the detestable practices of the nations the Lord had driven out before the Israelites.

But I tell you that anyone who is angry with a brother or sister will be subject to judgment. Again, anyone who says to a brother or sister,‘ Raca,’ is answerable to the court. And anyone who says,‘ You fool!’ will be in danger of the fire of hell.

Jeroboam thought to himself,“ The kingdom will now likely revert to the house of David.

The Lord saw how great the wickedness of the human race had become on the earth, and that every inclination of the thoughts of the human heart was only evil all the time.The Lord regretted that he had made human beings on the earth, and his heart was deeply troubled.

For you have spent enough time in the past doing what pagans choose to do— living in debauchery, lust, drunkenness, orgies, carousing and detestable idolatry.

Who can bring what is pure from the impure? No one!

how much less mortals, who are vile and corrupt, who drink up evil like water!

It is shameful even to mention what the disobedient do in secret.

Lord, you are the God who saves me; day and night I cry out to you.

Samaria did not commit half the sins you did. You have done more detestable things than they, and have made your sisters seem righteous by all these things you have done.

You not only followed their ways and copied their detestable practices, but in all your ways you soon became more depraved than they.

You must not worship the Lord your God in their way, because in worshiping their gods, they do all kinds of detestable things the Lord hates. They even burn their sons and daughters in the fire as sacrifices to their gods.

He says to himself,“ God will never notice; he covers his face and never sees.”

“ But God said to him,‘ You fool! This very night your life will be demanded from you. Then who will get what you have prepared for yourself?’

Senseless people do not know, fools do not understand,

Why does the wicked man revile God? Why does he say to himself,“ He won’t call me to account”?

For although they knew God, they neither glorified him as God nor gave thanks to him, but their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened.

He says to himself,“ Nothing will ever shake me.” He swears,“ No one will ever do me harm.”

Now the earth was corrupt in God’s sight and was full of violence.God saw how corrupt the earth had become, for all the people on earth had corrupted their ways.So God said to Noah,“ I am going to put an end to all people, for the earth is filled with violence because of them. I am surely going to destroy both them and the earth.
