我困於群獅間、臥於口吐火焰之人中、其人牙如槍如箭、舌如利刃、

自天降佑。莫使併吞。敵人肆虐。祈爾施恩。

I am in the midst of lions; I am forced to dwell among ravenous beasts— men whose teeth are spears and arrows, whose tongues are sharp swords.

Men who are like lions are all around me. I am forced to lie down among people who are like hungry animals. Their teeth are like spears and arrows. Their tongues are like sharp swords.

他的口比奶油光滑，他的心却怀着争战的意图；他的话比油还柔和，其实却是拔了出来的刀。

主啊！你还要看多久？求你救我的性命脱离他们的残害，救我的生命脱离少壮狮子。

有人说话不慎，好像利刀刺人，智慧人的舌头却能医治人。

他们磨快自己的舌头，如同刀剑；他们吐出恶毒的言语，好像利箭，

你图谋毁灭，你的舌头锋利像剃刀，常弄诡诈。

若不是这样，愿火从亚比米勒出来，吞灭示剑人和伯特米罗人；又愿火从示剑人和伯特米罗人出来，吞灭亚比米勒。”

他们像急于撕碎猎物的狮子，又像蹲伏在隐密处的幼狮。耶和华啊！求你起来，迎面攻击他们，把他们打倒；用你的刀救我的命脱离恶人。

舌头就是火，在我们百体中，是个不义的世界，能污秽全身，把整个生命在运转中焚烧起来，而且是被地狱之火点燃的。

作假见证陷害邻舍的人，就像大锤、快刀和利箭。

他们向我大大地张嘴，像抓撕吼叫的狮子。我好像水被倾倒出去，我全身的骨头都散脱了，我的心在我里面像蜡融化。我的精力像瓦片一样枯干，我的舌头紧黏着上颚，你把我放在死亡的尘土中。犬类围着我，恶党环绕我，他们扎了（按照《马索拉文本》，“他们扎了”作“像狮子”；现参照《七十士译本》等古译本翻译）我的手我的脚。

耶稣回答她：“你若知道神的恩赐，和对你说‘请给我水喝’的是谁，你必早已求他，他也必早把活水赐给你了。”妇人说：“先生，你没有打水的器具，井又深，你从哪里得活水呢？

我的神差遣了他的使者，封住狮子的口，使它们没有伤害我，因为我在神面前是清白的；王啊！在你面前我也没有作过任何错事。”王就非常高兴，吩咐人把但以理从坑里拉上来。于是但以理从坑里被拉上来，他身上一点损伤也没有，因为他信靠他的神。王下令，人就把那些诬蔑控告但以理的人，连同他们的妻子和儿女都一起带来，扔在狮子坑中；他们还没有下到坑底，狮子就抓住他们，把他们所有的骨头都咬碎了。

有一把利剑从他口中吐出来，他要用这剑击打列国，他必用铁杖治理他们；并且还要踹全能神烈怒的压酒池。

残暴的统治者辖制贫民，就像吼叫的狮子，又像饥饿觅食的熊。

他在隐密处埋伏，像狮子埋伏在丛林中；他埋伏要掳走困苦人，他把困苦人拉入自己的网中，掳走了他们。

看哪！他们口中吐出恶言，他们嘴里吐出利刀，他们心里说：“有谁听见呢？”
