See what they spew from their mouths— the words from their lips are sharp as swords, and they think,“ Who can hear us?”

Listen to what pours out of their mouths. The words from their lips are like swords. They think,“ Who can hear us?”

There they are, bellowing with their mouths with swords in their lips— for“ Who,” they think,“ will hear us?”

Listen to the filth that comes from their mouths; their words cut like swords.“ After all, who can hear us?” they sneer.

Look, they spew from their mouths— sharp words from their lips.“ For who,” they say,“ will hear?”

Behold, they gush forth with their mouths; Swords are in their lips, For, they say,“ Who hears?”

Indeed, they belch with their mouth; Swords are in their lips; For they say,“ Who hears?”

Behold, they belch out with their mouth; Swords are in their lips: For who, say they, doth hear?

Look, they spew from their mouths— sharp words from their lips.“ For who,” they say,“ will hear?”

His talk is smooth as butter, yet war is in his heart; his words are more soothing than oil, yet they are drawn swords. (niv)

Why does the wicked man revile God? Why does he say to himself,“ He won’t call me to account”? (niv)

The heart of the righteous weighs its answers, but the mouth of the wicked gushes evil. (niv)

They say,“ The Lord does not see; the God of Jacob takes no notice.”Take notice, you senseless ones among the people; you fools, when will you become wise?Does he who fashioned the ear not hear? Does he who formed the eye not see? (niv)

“ Is not God in the heights of heaven? And see how lofty are the highest stars!Yet you say,‘ What does God know? Does he judge through such darkness? (niv)

They sharpen their tongues like swords and aim cruel words like deadly arrows.They shoot from ambush at the innocent; they shoot suddenly, without fear.They encourage each other in evil plans, they talk about hiding their snares; they say,“ Who will see it?” (niv)
