神向亞伯拉罕應許的時候，因為沒有比自己更大的可以指著起誓，就指著自己起誓，

「我在錫安我的聖山上，膏立了我的王。」

因為實在有許多不服從的、講虛妄話的、欺騙人的，尤其是那些屬於割禮派的人；必須堵住這些人的口。他們為了不正當的利益，教導不該教導的事，把許多人的整個家庭都破壞了。

「看哪，現在我知道你必定作王，以色列王國將在你手中堅立。

正直的人看見就歡喜，所有不義的人卻閉口無言。

對他說：「不要怕，因為我父親掃羅的手害不了你。你必作以色列的王，我將在你之下位居第二，連我父親掃羅也知道會這樣。」

到那日，在埃及地必有五座城說迦南通用語，並向萬軍之耶和華起誓，其中一座稱為「太陽城」。
