拔我兮泥中。脫我兮諸兇。

Do not let the floodwaters engulf me or the depths swallow me up or the pit close its mouth over me.

May the flood of water not overflow me Nor the deep swallow me up, Nor the pit close its mouth on me.

Now this is what the Lord says— the One who created you, Jacob, and the One who formed you, Israel—“ Do not fear, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by your name; you are Mine.I will be with you when you pass through the waters, and when you pass through the rivers, they will not overwhelm you. You will not be scorched when you walk through the fire, and the flame will not burn you.

God raised Him up, ending the pains of death, because it was not possible for Him to be held by it.

But You raised my life from the Pit, Lord my God!As my life was fading away, I remembered Yahweh. My prayer came to You, to Your holy temple.

They went down alive into Sheol with all that belonged to them. The earth closed over them, and they vanished from the assembly.At their cries, all the people of Israel who were around them fled because they thought,“ The earth may swallow us too!”

I am counted among those going down to the Pit. I am like a man without strength,abandoned among the dead. I am like the slain lying in the grave, whom You no longer remember, and who are cut off from Your care.You have put me in the lowest part of the Pit, in the darkest places, in the depths.

Then the waters would have engulfed us; the torrent would have swept over us;the raging waters would have swept over us.

Seeing this in advance, he spoke concerning the resurrection of the Messiah: He was not left in Hades, and His flesh did not experience decay.

For as Jonah was in the belly of the huge fish three days and three nights, so the Son of Man will be in the heart of the earth three days and three nights.

For You will not abandon me to Sheol; You will not allow Your Faithful One to see decay.
