For You are my hope, O Lord GOD; You are my trust from my youth.

我所仰望者惟有主、主天主歟、我自幼時、即倚恃主、

主乃我之望。自幼所依恃。

For you have been my hope, Sovereign Lord, my confidence since my youth.

You are the King and the Lord. You have always been my hope. I have trusted in you ever since I was young.

For you, O Lord, are my hope, my trust, O Lord, from my youth.

O Lord, you alone are my hope. I’ve trusted you, O Lord, from childhood.

For you are my hope, Lord GOD, my confidence from my youth.

For You are my hope; Lord God, You are my confidence from my youth.

For thou art my hope, O Lord Jehovah: Thou art my trust from my youth.

For You are my hope, Lord God, my confidence from my youth.

For thou[ art] my hope, O Lord GOD:[ thou art] my trust from my youth.

For you give me confidence, O Lord; O LORD, I have trusted in you since I was young.

For you are my hope, Lord Yahweh, my confidence from my youth.

“ Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, And whose hope is the Lord.

My soul faints for Your salvation, But I hope in Your word.

“ And now, Lord, what do I wait for? My hope is in You.

O God, You have taught me from my youth; And to this day I declare Your wondrous works.

Do not be a terror to me; You are my hope in the day of doom.

Lord, I hope for Your salvation, And I do Your commandments.

Then David said to the Philistine,“ You come to me with a sword, with a spear, and with a javelin. But I come to you in the name of the Lord of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied.This day the Lord will deliver you into my hand, and I will strike you and take your head from you. And this day I will give the carcasses of the camp of the Philistines to the birds of the air and the wild beasts of the earth, that all the earth may know that there is a God in Israel.Then all this assembly shall know that the Lord does not save with sword and spear; for the battle is the LORD’s, and He will give you into our hands.”

Then Samuel took the horn of oil and anointed him in the midst of his brothers; and the Spirit of the Lord came upon David from that day forward. So Samuel arose and went to Ramah.

And Saul said to David,“ You are not able to go against this Philistine to fight with him; for you are a youth, and he a man of war from his youth.”But David said to Saul,“ Your servant used to keep his father’s sheep, and when a lion or a bear came and took a lamb out of the flock,I went out after it and struck it, and delivered the lamb from its mouth; and when it arose against me, I caught it by its beard, and struck and killed it.Your servant has killed both lion and bear; and this uncircumcised Philistine will be like one of them, seeing he has defied the armies of the living God.”Moreover David said,“ The Lord, who delivered me from the paw of the lion and from the paw of the bear, He will deliver me from the hand of this Philistine.” And Saul said to David,“ Go, and the Lord be with you!”

O the Hope of Israel, his Savior in time of trouble, Why should You be like a stranger in the land, And like a traveler who turns aside to tarry for a night?

But I have trusted in Your mercy; My heart shall rejoice in Your salvation.

O Lord, the hope of Israel, All who forsake You shall be ashamed.“ Those who depart from Me Shall be written in the earth, Because they have forsaken the Lord, The fountain of living waters.”

and that from childhood you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.

But You are He who took Me out of the womb; You made Me trust while on My mother’s breasts.I was cast upon You from birth. From My mother’s womb You have been My God.

Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.

And the Child grew and became strong in spirit, filled with wisdom; and the grace of God was upon Him.

Why are you cast down, O my soul? And why are you disquieted within me? Hope in God; For I shall yet praise Him, The help of my countenance and my God.

All who found them have devoured them; And their adversaries said,‘ We have not offended, Because they have sinned against the Lord, the habitation of justice, The Lord, the hope of their fathers.’

Remember now your Creator in the days of your youth, Before the difficult days come, And the years draw near when you say,“ I have no pleasure in them”:
