In his days may the righteous flourish and prosperity abound till the moon is no more.

May godly people do well as long as he rules. May they have more than they need as long as the moon lasts.

In his days may the righteous flourish, and peace abound, till the moon be no more!

May all the godly flourish during his reign. May there be abundant prosperity until the moon is no more.

But for you who fear my name, the sun of righteousness will rise with healing in its wings, and you will go out and playfully jump like calves from the stall.

For he is our peace, who made both groups one and tore down the dividing wall of hostility. In his flesh,he made of no effect the law consisting of commands and expressed in regulations, so that he might create in himself one new man from the two, resulting in peace.He did this so that he might reconcile both to God in one body through the cross by which he put the hostility to death.He came and proclaimed the good news of peace to you who were far away and peace to those who were near.

The righteous thrive like a palm tree and grow like a cedar tree in Lebanon.

but the word of the LORD came to me:‘ You have shed much blood and waged great wars. You are not to build a house for my name because you have shed so much blood on the ground before me.But a son will be born to you; he will be a man of rest. I will give him rest from all his surrounding enemies, for his name will be Solomon, and I will give peace and quiet to Israel during his reign.

I will abundantly bless its food; I will satisfy its needy with bread.I will clothe its priests with salvation, and its faithful people will shout for joy.There I will make a horn grow for David; I have prepared a lamp for my anointed one.I will clothe his enemies with shame, but the crown he wears will be glorious.”

Throughout Solomon’s reign, Judah and Israel lived in safety from Dan to Beer-sheba, each person under his own vine and his own fig tree.

For a child will be born for us, a son will be given to us, and the government will be on his shoulders. He will be named Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Eternal Father, Prince of Peace.The dominion will be vast, and its prosperity will never end. He will reign on the throne of David and over his kingdom, to establish and sustain it with justice and righteousness from now on and forever. The zeal of the LORD of Armies will accomplish this.

“ In the days of those kings, the God of the heavens will set up a kingdom that will never be destroyed, and this kingdom will not be left to another people. It will crush all these kingdoms and bring them to an end, but will itself endure forever.

to provide for those who mourn in Zion; to give them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, festive oil instead of mourning, and splendid clothes instead of despair. And they will be called righteous trees, planted by the LORD to glorify him.They will rebuild the ancient ruins; they will restore the former devastations; they will renew the ruined cities, the devastations of many generations.Strangers will stand and feed your flocks, and foreigners will be your plowmen and vinedressers.But you will be called the LORD’s priests; they will speak of you as ministers of our God; you will eat the wealth of the nations, and you will boast in their riches.

Then the eyes of those who see will not be closed, and the ears of those who hear will listen.The reckless mind will gain knowledge, and the stammering tongue will speak clearly and fluently.A fool will no longer be called a noble, nor a scoundrel said to be important.For a fool speaks foolishness and his mind plots iniquity. He lives in a godless way and speaks falsely about the LORD. He leaves the hungry empty and deprives the thirsty of drink.The scoundrel’s weapons are destructive; he hatches plots to destroy the needy with lies, even when the poor person says what is right.But a noble person plans noble things; he stands up for noble causes.

For just as rain and snow fall from heaven and do not return there without saturating the earth and making it germinate and sprout, and providing seed to sow and food to eat,so my word that comes from my mouth will not return to me empty, but it will accomplish what I please and will prosper in what I send it to do.”You will indeed go out with joy and be peacefully guided; the mountains and the hills will break into singing before you, and all the trees of the field will clap their hands.Instead of the thornbush, a cypress will come up, and instead of the brier, a myrtle will come up; this will stand as a monument for the LORD, an everlasting sign that will not be destroyed.

He will reign over the house of Jacob forever, and his kingdom will have no end.”

The wilderness and the dry land will be glad; the desert will rejoice and blossom like a wildflower.It will blossom abundantly and will also rejoice with joy and singing. The glory of Lebanon will be given to it, the splendor of Carmel and Sharon. They will see the glory of the LORD, the splendor of our God.Strengthen the weak hands, steady the shaking knees!Say to the cowardly:“ Be strong; do not fear! Here is your God; vengeance is coming. God’s retribution is coming; he will save you.”Then the eyes of the blind will be opened, and the ears of the deaf unstopped.Then the lame will leap like a deer, and the tongue of the mute will sing for joy, for water will gush in the wilderness, and streams in the desert;the parched ground will become a pool, and the thirsty land, springs. In the haunt of jackals, in their lairs, there will be grass, reeds, and papyrus.A road will be there and a way; it will be called the Holy Way. The unclean will not travel on it, but it will be for the one who walks the path. Fools will not wander on it.There will be no lion there, and no vicious beast will go up on it; they will not be found there. But the redeemed will walk on it,and the ransomed of the LORD will return and come to Zion with singing, crowned with unending joy. Joy and gladness will overtake them, and sorrow and sighing will flee.

“ Poor Jerusalem, storm-tossed, and not comforted, I will set your stones in black mortar, and lay your foundations in lapis lazuli.I will make your fortifications out of rubies, your gates out of sparkling stones, and all your walls out of precious stones.Then all your children will be taught by the LORD, their prosperity will be great,and you will be established on a foundation of righteousness. You will be far from oppression, you will certainly not be afraid; you will be far from terror, it will certainly not come near you.If anyone attacks you, it is not from me; whoever attacks you will fall before you.Look, I have created the craftsman who blows on the charcoal fire and produces a weapon suitable for its task; and I have created the destroyer to cause havoc.No weapon formed against you will succeed, and you will refute any accusation raised against you in court. This is the heritage of the LORD’s servants, and their vindication is from me.” This is the LORD’s declaration.

Glory to God in the highest heaven, and peace on earth to people he favors!

The least will become a thousand, the smallest a mighty nation. I am the LORD; I will accomplish it quickly in its time.

Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the LORD shines over you.

Now the entire group of those who believed were of one heart and mind, and no one claimed that any of his possessions was his own, but instead they held everything in common.

The wolf will dwell with the lamb, and the leopard will lie down with the goat. The calf, the young lion, and the fattened calf will be together, and a child will lead them.The cow and the bear will graze, their young ones will lie down together, and the lion will eat straw like cattle.An infant will play beside the cobra’s pit, and a toddler will put his hand into a snake’s den.They will not harm or destroy each other on my entire holy mountain, for the land will be as full of the knowledge of the LORD as the sea is filled with water.

I rejoice greatly in the LORD, I exult in my God; for he has clothed me with the garments of salvation and wrapped me in a robe of righteousness, as a groom wears a turban and as a bride adorns herself with her jewels.For as the earth produces its growth, and as a garden enables what is sown to spring up, so the Lord GOD will cause righteousness and praise to spring up before all the nations.

until the Spirit from on high is poured out on us. Then the desert will become an orchard, and the orchard will seem like a forest.Then justice will inhabit the wilderness, and righteousness will dwell in the orchard.The result of righteousness will be peace; the effect of righteousness will be quiet confidence forever.Then my people will dwell in a peaceful place, in safe and secure dwellings.But hail will level the forest, and the city will sink into the depths.You will be happy as you sow seed beside abundant water, and as you let oxen and donkeys range freely.
