Before they had turned from what they craved, while the food was still in their mouths,

肉尚在口、猶難屬饜兮、

既食且飽。貪欲未寢。

But before they turned from what they craved, even while the food was still in their mouths,

But even before they had finished eating, God acted. He did it while the food was still in their mouths.

Yet before they had abandoned their longing, While their food was in their mouths,

They were not deprived of their craving; But while their food was still in their mouths,

They were not estranged from their lust. But while their meat[ was] yet in their mouths,

They were not yet filled up, their food was still in their mouths,

They didn’t turn from their cravings. Their food was yet in their mouths,

For the apostasy of the inexperienced will kill them, and the complacency of fools will destroy them.

God came to Balaam at night and said to him,“ Since these men have come to summon you, get up and go with them, but you must only do what I tell you.”When he got up in the morning, Balaam saddled his donkey and went with the officials of Moab.But God was incensed that Balaam was going, and the angel of the LORD took his stand on the path to oppose him. Balaam was riding his donkey, and his two servants were with him.

While the meat was still between their teeth, before it was chewed, the LORD’s anger burned against the people, and the LORD struck them with a very severe plague.So they named that place Kibroth-hattaavah, because there they buried the people who had craved the meat.

“ There was a rich man who would dress in purple and fine linen, feasting lavishly every day.But a poor man named Lazarus, covered with sores, was lying at his gate.He longed to be filled with what fell from the rich man’s table, but instead the dogs would come and lick his sores.One day the poor man died and was carried away by the angels to Abraham’s side. The rich man also died and was buried.And being in torment in Hades, he looked up and saw Abraham a long way off, with Lazarus at his side.
