Give me a sign of your goodness, that my enemies may see it and be put to shame, for you, Lord, have helped me and comforted me.

Prove your goodness to me. Then my enemies will see it and be put to shame. Lord, you have helped me and given me comfort.

you are to deliver this man to Satan for the destruction of the flesh, so that his spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord.

Hezekiah also had said,“ What is the sign that I shall go up to the house of the Lord?”

Rejoice not over me, O my enemy; when I fall, I shall rise; when I sit in darkness, the Lord will be a light to me.I will bear the indignation of the Lord because I have sinned against him, until he pleads my cause and executes judgment for me. He will bring me out to the light; I shall look upon his vindication.Then my enemy will see, and shame will cover her who said to me,“ Where is the Lord your God?” My eyes will look upon her; now she will be trampled down like the mire of the streets.

Do not cast me off in the time of old age; forsake me not when my strength is spent.For my enemies speak concerning me; those who watch for my life consult togetherand say,“ God has forsaken him; pursue and seize him, for there is none to deliver him.”O God, be not far from me; O my God, make haste to help me!May my accusers be put to shame and consumed; with scorn and disgrace may they be covered who seek my hurt.

We do not see our signs; there is no longer any prophet, and there is none among us who knows how long.
