You sweep people away like dreams that disappear. They are like grass that springs up in the morning.

你叫他们如水冲去；他们如睡一觉。早晨，他们如生长的草，

你像急流一般把世人冲走，叫他们如梦消逝。他们像清晨的嫩草，

你使世人消逝，像被洪水冲去；他们好像睡了一觉；他们又像在早晨生长的草，

你冲去他们，他们就沉睡；他们如同清晨生长的草——

你叫他們如水沖去；他們如睡一覺。早晨，他們如生長的草，

你叫他們如水沖去，他們如睡一覺。早晨，他們如生長的草；

你像急流一般把世人沖走，叫他們如夢消逝。他們像清晨的嫩草，

你使世人消逝，像被洪水沖去；他們好像睡了一覺；他們又像在早晨生長的草，

你年年把人撒播去，他們就如草早晨萌了芽；

你把他們如水沖去，他們就沉睡；他們如同清晨生長的草——

爾衝人若大水、彼如寢寐、如朝生之草兮、

人之沒世、譬諸夢寐、譬諸草之萌櫱兮、

主使人逝世如水之流、亦使之如睡、青年如草、速然凋殘、

又如中宵夢。夢醒更已易。

Yet you sweep people away in the sleep of death— they are like the new grass of the morning:

Yet you sweep people away, and they die. They are like new grass that grows in the morning.

You sweep them away as with a flood; they are like a dream, like grass that is renewed in the morning:

You end their lives; they sleep. They are like grass that grows in the morning—

You have swept them away like a flood, they fall asleep; In the morning they are like grass that sprouts anew.

You carry them away like a flood; They are like a sleep. In the morning they are like grass which grows up:

Thou carriest them away as with a flood; they are as a sleep: In the morning they are like grass which groweth up.

You end their lives; they sleep. They are like grass that grows in the morning—

Thou carriest them away as with a flood; they are[ as] a sleep: in the morning[ they are] like grass[ which] groweth up.

You bring their lives to an end and they“ fall asleep.” In the morning they are like the grass that sprouts up;

You sweep them away as they sleep. In the morning they sprout like new grass.

A voice said,“ Shout!” I asked,“ What should I shout?”“ Shout that people are like the grass. Their beauty fades as quickly as the flowers in a field.

When you arise, O Lord, you will laugh at their silly ideas as a person laughs at dreams in the morning.

Our days on earth are like grass; like wildflowers, we bloom and die.The wind blows, and we are gone— as though we had never been here.

They were snatched away in the prime of life, the foundations of their lives washed away.

As the Scriptures say,“ People are like grass; their beauty is like a flower in the field. The grass withers and the flower fades.

Terror overwhelms them like a flood, and they are blown away in the storms of the night.The east wind carries them away, and they are gone. It sweeps them away.

It disappears like a swift papyrus boat, like an eagle swooping down on its prey.

Therefore, the Lord will overwhelm them with a mighty flood from the Euphrates River— the king of Assyria and all his glory. This flood will overflow all its channelsand sweep into Judah until it is chin deep. It will spread its wings, submerging your land from one end to the other, O Immanuel.

They will fade like a dream and not be found. They will vanish like a vision in the night.

And those who are rich should boast that God has humbled them. They will fade away like a little flower in the field.The hot sun rises and the grass withers; the little flower droops and falls, and its beauty fades away. In the same way, the rich will fade away with all of their achievements.

All the nations fighting against Jerusalem will vanish like a dream! Those who are attacking her walls will vanish like a vision in the night.A hungry person dreams of eating but wakes up still hungry. A thirsty person dreams of drinking but is still faint from thirst when morning comes. So it will be with your enemies, with those who attack Mount Zion.”

“ Who is this, rising like the Nile at floodtime, overflowing all the land?It is the Egyptian army, overflowing all the land, boasting that it will cover the earth like a flood, destroying cities and their people.
