或黑暗中橫行的瘟疫，或正午肆虐的災難。

也不必害怕黑暗中流行的瘟疫，或是在正午把人毀滅的毒病。

不怕幽暗中流行的瘟疫，或中午間滅人的毒病。

也不怕幽暗中流行的瘟疫，或是正午毀滅人的病毒。

暗中流行之疫癘、午間勦滅之災患、爾皆不懼兮、

亦不懼黑暗之瘟災、日午害人之毒病、

午夜魑魅不爾擾。中晝群魔不爾殄。

You won’t have to be afraid of the sickness that attacks in the darkness. You won’t have to fear the plague that destroys at noon.

他站在活人和死人之間，瘟疫就止住了。

保護你的是耶和華，耶和華在你右邊蔭庇你。白日，太陽必不傷你；夜間，月亮也不害你。

你們也將聽見打仗和打仗的風聲。注意，不要驚慌！因為這些事必須發生，但這還不是終結。民要攻打民，國要攻打國，多處必有饑荒、地震。

並且都吃了一樣的靈糧，也都喝了一樣的靈水，所喝的是出於跟隨着他們的靈磐石；那磐石就是基督。但他們中間多半是神不喜歡的人，所以倒斃在曠野裏了。這些事都是我們的鑒戒，使我們不要貪戀惡事，像他們貪戀過的一樣。也不要拜偶像，像他們中有些人曾經拜過。如經上所記：「百姓坐下吃喝，起來玩樂。」我們也不可犯姦淫，像他們中有些人曾經犯過，一天就倒斃了二萬三千人。也不可試探主，像他們中有些人曾試探主就被蛇咬死。你們也不可發怨言，像他們中有些人曾經發過，就被毀滅者所滅。

當夜，耶和華的使者出去，在亞述營中殺了十八萬五千人。清早有人起來，看哪，都是死屍。

到了半夜，耶和華把埃及地所有頭生的，就是從坐寶座的法老，到關在牢裏的人的長子，以及一切頭生的牲畜，盡都殺了。法老和他眾臣僕，以及所有的埃及人，都在夜間起來了。在埃及有大大的哀號，因為沒有一家不死人的。

於是，耶和華降瘟疫給以色列。自早晨到所定的時候，從但直到別是巴，百姓中死了七萬人。
