所以，我憎惡他們四十年之久，我說，『他們偏離正路，不遵行我的命令。』

四十年之久，我厌烦那世代，说：“这是心里迷糊的百姓，竟不晓得我的作为！”

四十年之久，我厌烦那世代，说：“这是心里迷糊的百姓，竟不知道我的道路！”

所以，我憎恶他们四十年之久，我说，‘他们偏离正路，不遵行我的命令。’

四十年之久，我厌恶那个世代的人；我曾说：“他们是心里迷误的人民，不认识我的道路。”

四十年之久，我厌恶了那世代，我说：‘他们是心里迷失的子民，他们不认识我的道路。’

四十年之久，我厭煩那世代，說：這是心裏迷糊的百姓，竟不曉得我的作為！

四十年之久，我厭煩那世代，說：「這是心裏迷糊的百姓，竟不知道我的道路！」

四十年之久，我厭煩那世代，說：「這是心裏迷糊的百姓，竟不知道我的道路！」

四十年之久，我厭惡那個世代的人；我曾說：“他們是心裡迷誤的人民，不認識我的道路。”

四十年之久我討厭那世代，說：『這是心裏迷糊的人民，不曉得我所行的；』

四十年之久，我厭惡了那世代，我說：『他們是心裡迷失的子民，他們不認識我的道路。』

歷年四十、我厭此代曰、斯民心迷、未識我途兮、

歷四十載、我憾當時之人曰、厥心常迷、不識余途兮。

彼世代四十年間、激我厭惡、我曰、彼乃心中偏邪之民、不明我道、

心厭彼逆。垂四十春。中心懷邪。天理不明。

For forty years I was angry with that generation; I said,‘ They are a people whose hearts go astray, and they have not known my ways.’

For 40 years I was angry with them. I said,‘ Their hearts are always going astray. They do not know how I want them to live.’

For forty years I loathed that generation and said,“ They are a people who go astray in their heart, and they have not known my ways.”

For forty years I was angry with them, and I said,‘ They are a people whose hearts turn away from me. They refuse to do what I tell them.’

For forty years I was disgusted with that generation; I said,“ They are a people whose hearts go astray; they do not know my ways.”

For forty years I was disgusted with that generation, And said they are a people who err in their heart, And they do not know My ways.

For forty years I was grieved with that generation, And said,‘ It is a people who go astray in their hearts, And they do not know My ways.’

Forty years long was I grieved with that generation, And said, It is a people that do err in their heart, And they have not known my ways:

For 40 years I was disgusted with that generation; I said,“ They are a people whose hearts go astray; they do not know My ways.”

Forty years long was I grieved with[ this] generation, and said, It[ is] a people that do err in their heart, and they have not known my ways:

For forty years I was continually disgusted with that generation, and I said,‘ These people desire to go astray; they do not obey my commands.’

Forty long years I was grieved with that generation, and said,“ It is a people that errs in their heart. They have not known my ways.”

四十年之久惹上帝發怒的是誰呢？不就是那些犯罪作惡並倒斃在曠野的人嗎？

摩西帶領以色列人出埃及，過紅海，越曠野，四十年間行了許多神蹟奇事。

「你們愚昧人喜愛愚昧，嘲諷者以嘲弄為樂，無知者厭惡知識，要到什麼時候呢？你們若因我的責備而回轉，我就向你們顯明我的旨意，叫你們明白我的話語。我呼喚你們，你們卻充耳不聞；我向你們招手，你們卻視若無睹。你們漠視我的勸誡，不接受我的責備。因此，你們遭遇災難時，我必發笑；驚恐臨到你們時，我必嗤笑——那時，恐懼如風暴襲擊你們，災難如旋風臨到你們，憂愁和苦難吞沒你們。你們呼求我，我也不回答；你們懇切地尋找我，卻找不到。因為你們厭惡知識，不願意敬畏耶和華，

光來到世上，世人因為自己的行為邪惡而不愛光，反愛黑暗，這就是他們被定罪的原因。作惡的人恨光，不肯接近光，恐怕他們的罪行暴露出來。但遵行真理的人喜歡接近光，好顯明他所做的是靠上帝做的。」

當時，你們的祖先試我、探我，觀看我的作為達四十年之久。所以我向那世代的人發怒，說，『他們總是執迷不悟，不認識我的道路。』

既然他們故意不認識上帝，上帝就任憑他們心思敗壞，做不當做的事。

他們充滿詭詐，不認我是上帝。這是耶和華說的。」

耶和華向以色列人發怒，使他們在曠野漂泊了四十年，直到在耶和華面前作惡的那一代都死了。

在離開埃及後第四十年的十一月一日，摩西把耶和華的一切吩咐告訴了以色列人。

不要讓上帝的聖靈擔憂，你們已經蓋上了聖靈的印記，將來必蒙救贖。

我們從離開加低斯·巴尼亞到穿過撒烈溪用了三十八年。期間，那一代戰士都死光了，正如耶和華的誓言。其實是耶和華的手攻擊他們，直到把他們從營中全部消滅。「所有的戰士都死後，

耶和華啊！你為何使我們偏離你的路，使我們硬著心不敬畏你呢？求你為了你的僕人，你的產業——以色列各支派而改變心意！

就後悔在地上造了人，心裡傷痛，

他們在曠野漂泊的那四十年間，上帝一直照顧、容忍他們。

你們的兒女要在曠野飄泊四十年，為你們的不忠而受苦，直到你們都死在曠野。你們打探了那地方四十天，你們要為自己的罪受苦四十年，一年頂一天。那時，你們就知道與我為敵的後果。』

知識始於敬畏耶和華，愚人輕視智慧和教誨。
