所以耶和華－萬軍之神如此說：「因為他們說這話，看哪，我必使我的話在你口中為火，使這百姓為柴，火便將他們燒滅。

以利亞回答五十夫長說：「我若是神人，願火從天上降下來，吞滅你和你的五十個人！」於是有火從天上降下來，吞滅五十夫長和他的五十個人。王又派另一個五十夫長，帶領五十人到以利亞那裏。五十夫長對他說：「神人哪，王這樣吩咐，快快下來！」以利亞回答他們說：「我若是神人，願火從天上降下來，吞滅你和你的五十個人！」於是神的火從天上降下來，吞滅五十夫長和他的五十個人。

卻要以公義審判貧寒人，以正直判斷地上的困苦人，以口中的棍擊打全地，以嘴裏的氣殺戮惡人。

因此，我藉先知砍伐他們，以我口中的話殺戮他們；對你的審判如光發出。

摩西說：「因這件事，你們就必知道這一切事是耶和華差派我做的，並非出於我的心意。這些人的死若和世人無異，或者他們所遭遇的和其他人相同，那麼耶和華就不曾差派我了。但是，倘若耶和華創作一件新事，使地開了裂口，把他們和一切屬他們的都吞下去，叫他們活活墜落陰間，你們就知道是這些人藐視了耶和華。」摩西剛說完這些話，他們腳下的地就裂開，地開了裂口，把他們和他們的家眷，以及一切屬可拉的人和財物，都吞了下去。他們和一切屬他們的，都活活墜落陰間；地在他們上面又合攏起來，他們就從會眾中滅亡了。在他們四圍的以色列眾人聽見他們的叫聲，就都逃跑，說：「恐怕地也要把我們吞下去了！」有火從耶和華那裏出來，吞滅了那上香的二百五十人。

我今日立你在列邦列國之上，為要拔出，拆毀，毀壞，傾覆，又要建立，栽植。」

他的鼻孔冒煙上騰，他的口發火焚燒，連煤炭也燒着了。

萬軍之耶和華在顯出榮耀之後，差遣我到擄掠你們的列國那裏，他如此說：「碰你們的就是碰他自己眼中的瞳人。

然而我的言語和律例，就是我所吩咐我僕人眾先知的，豈不臨到你們的祖先嗎？他們就回轉，說：萬軍之耶和華定意按我們的所作所為對待我們，他也已經照樣行了。」

他就仆倒在地，聽見有聲音對他說：「掃羅！掃羅！你為甚麼迫害我？」他說：「主啊！你是誰？」主說：「我就是你所迫害的耶穌。

我所見的異象如同從前我來滅城的時候所見的異象，又如我在迦巴魯河邊所見的異象，我就臉伏於地。
