我们有祸了！从前在旷野用各样灾祸击打埃及人的，就是这些神。谁能救我们脱离这些大能之神的手呢？

耶和华这样说：“看哪，我要用我手里的杖击打河中的水，水就必变成血；因此你就知道我是耶和华。河中的鱼必死亡，河水也必发臭，埃及人就必厌恶喝这河里的水。”’”耶和华对摩西说：“你要对亚伦说：‘拿你的手杖来，把你的手伸在埃及的众水之上，就是在他们的江、河、池和所有水塘之上，使水都变成血。因此，在埃及全地，连木器石器中都必有血。’”摩西和亚伦就这样行了，就像耶和华所吩咐的；亚伦在法老面前和法老的臣仆面前举起手杖，击打河里的水，河里的水就都变了血。河里的鱼死了，河水发臭了，埃及人也不能喝这河里的水了；在埃及，全地都有血。埃及的术士也用他们的巫术这样行了；可是法老却心里刚硬，不肯听摩西和亚伦，就像耶和华所说的。法老转身回到宫里去，也不把这事放在心上。所有的埃及人都在河的周围掘地，要得水喝，因为他们不能喝这河里的水。耶和华击打尼罗河以后，满了七天。

所以你们应当彼此认罪，互相代求，这样你们就可以痊愈。义人祈祷所发出的力量，是大有功效的。以利亚是与我们性情相同的人；他恳切祈求不要下雨，地上就三年零六个月没有雨；他又祈祷，天就下雨，地就生出土产来。

他差派了他的仆人摩西，和他拣选的亚伦。他们在敌人中间施行他的神迹，在含地显明他的奇事。他命黑暗降下，使那地黑暗；他的话是不能违背的。他使埃及的水都变成血，使他们的鱼都死掉。在他们的地上，以及君王的内室，青蛙多多滋生。他一发命令，苍蝇就成群而来，并且虱子进入他们的四境。他给他们降下冰雹为雨，又在他们的地上降下火焰。他击打他们的葡萄树和无花果树，又毁坏他们境内的树木。他一发命令，蝗虫就来，蚱蜢也来，多得无法数算，吃尽了他们地上的一切植物，吃光了他们土地的出产。他击杀了他们境内所有的长子，就是他们强壮的时候所生的头生子。

耶和华的话临到我说：“人子啊！主耶和华对以色列地这样说：‘终局到了！终局临到这地的四境了！现在终局已经临到你了。我要发怒攻击你，按着你的行为审判你，照着你一切可憎的事报应你。我的眼必不顾惜你，我也不怜恤你，我却要按着你的行为，照着你中间可憎的事报应你，你们就知道我是耶和华。’主耶和华这样说：‘看哪，灾祸，独特的灾祸，临到了！终局到了，终局临到了，它已经起来跟你作对。看哪，它临到了！这地的居民哪，灾害临到你了！时候到了，日子近了，是混乱喧嚷的日子，不是山上欢呼的日子。现在我快要把我的烈怒倒在你身上，向你完全发尽我的怒气。我要按着你的行为审判你，照着你一切可憎的事报应你。我的眼必不顾惜，我也不怜恤。我却要按着你的行为，照着你中间可憎的事报应你，你们就知道击打你们的是我耶和华。“‘看哪，这日子到了！灾害已经发出，杖已经开花，狂傲已经发芽。强暴兴起，成了惩罚邪恶的杖，他们无一存留，他们的群众都不在了。他们的财富没有了，他们中间也没有尊荣。时候到了，日子近了，买的不必欢喜，卖的不用忧愁；因为烈怒要临到众人身上。
