以其瘍痛甚、謗讟天上上帝、不悔改所為、

且因生瘡痛苦、謗讟天上之主、不悔改所為、

不堪瘡痍之苦、而謗讟天主；猶不知痛悔諸業、而改絃易轍。

人被大热所烤，就亵渎那有权掌管这些灾的神之名，并不悔改将荣耀归给神。

第一位天使便去，把碗倒在地上，就有恶而且毒的疮生在那些有兽印记、拜兽像的人身上。

又有大雹子从天落在人身上，每一个约重一他连得。为这雹子的灾极大，人就亵渎神。

正在那时候，地大震动，城就倒塌了十分之一，因地震而死的有七千人；其余的都恐惧，归荣耀给天上的神。

我曾给她悔改的机会，她却不肯悔改她的淫行。

“我亚达薛西王又降旨与河西的一切库官，说：‘通达天上神律法的文士祭司以斯拉，无论向你们要什么，你们要速速地备办，

要他们祈求天上的神施怜悯，将这奥秘的事指明，免得但以理和他的同伴与巴比伦其余的哲士一同灭亡。这奥秘的事就在夜间异象中给但以理显明，但以理便称颂天上的神。

“波斯王居鲁士如此说：耶和华天上的神已将天下万国赐给我，又嘱咐我在犹大的耶路撒冷为他建造殿宇。你们中间凡作他子民的，可以上去，愿耶和华他的神与他同在。”

只是作恶的和迷惑人的，必越久越恶，他欺哄人，也被人欺哄。

我听见这话，就坐下哭泣，悲哀几日，在天上的神面前禁食祈祷，说：

“诸王之王亚达薛西，达于祭司以斯拉通达天上神律法大德的文士，云云。

他们回答说：‘我们是天地之神的仆人，重建前多年所建造的殿，就是以色列的一位大君王建造修成的。只因我们列祖惹天上的神发怒，神把他们交在迦勒底人巴比伦王尼布甲尼撒的手中，他就拆毁这殿，又将百姓掳到巴比伦。

凡天上之神所吩咐的，当为天上神的殿详细办理。为何使忿怒临到王和王众子的国呢？

好叫他们献馨香的祭给天上的神，又为王和王众子的寿命祈祷。

你们要称谢天上的神，因他的慈爱永远长存。

王问我说：“你要求什么？”于是我默祷天上的神。

当那列王在位的时候，天上的神必另立一国，永不败坏，也不归别国的人，却要打碎灭绝那一切国，这国必存到永远。

他说：“我是希伯来人。我敬畏耶和华那创造沧海旱地之天上的神。”
