因為列國都被她邪淫大怒的酒傾倒了。地上的君王與她行淫；地上的客商因她奢華太過就發了財。

又為你使頭上光禿，用麻布束腰，號咷痛哭，苦苦悲哀。

有一個銀匠，名叫底米丟，是製造亞底米神銀龕的，他使這樣手藝人生意發達。他聚集他們和同行的工人，說：「眾位，你們知道我們是倚靠這生意發財。這保羅不但在以弗所，也幾乎在亞細亞全地，引誘迷惑許多人，說：『人手所做的，不是神。』這是你們所看見所聽見的。這樣，不獨我們這事業被人藐視，就是大女神亞底米的廟也要被人輕忽，連亞細亞全地和普天下所敬拜的大女神之威榮也要消滅了。」

買他們的宰了他們，以自己為無罪；賣他們的說：『耶和華是應當稱頌的，因我成為富足。』牧養他們的並不憐恤他們。

使女的主人們見得利的指望沒有了，便揪住保羅和西拉，拉他們到市上去見首領；

主耶和華－萬軍之神如此說：在一切寬闊處必有哀號的聲音；在各街市上必有人說：哀哉！哀哉！又必叫農夫來哭號，叫善唱哀歌的來舉哀。在各葡萄園必有哀號的聲音，因為我必從你中間經過。這是耶和華說的。

便教訓他們說：「經上不是記着說：我的殿必稱為萬國禱告的殿嗎？你們倒使它成為賊窩了。」

呼叫但人。但人回頭問米迦說：「你聚集這許多人來做甚麼呢？」米迦說：「你們將我所做的神像和祭司都帶了去，我還有所剩的嗎？怎麼還問我說『做甚麼』呢？」

因怕她的痛苦，就遠遠地站着說：哀哉！哀哉！巴比倫大城，堅固的城啊，一時之間你的刑罰就來到了。地上的客商也都為她哭泣悲哀，因為沒有人再買他們的貨物了；

以法蓮是商人，手裏有詭詐的天平，愛行欺騙。以法蓮說：我果然成了富足，得了財寶；我所勞碌得來的，人必不見有甚麼不義，可算為罪的。
